We would wholeheartedly endorse what previous reviewers have said about Casa de Laila and the service provided by Anne Marie and Ben.This is a truly relaxing place that diserves to be visited even if you are not interested in exploring Andalucia.

We stayed in a tent and we honesty recommend the tent option to everybody! It is just magical! Α storm came our first night there. No water got into the tent. Plus it was a very interesting experience being in a candlelight luxury tent, hearing the noise of the rain and smelling the wet land. The next morning everything was perfect again. We didn't see the appartment but if you visit Casa de Laila you HAVE to stay in a tent to feel the heart of this treasured place.

You have a splendid view over the landscape and the Alhaurin el Grande village, a magnificent view to wake up every morning and have your breakfast (yummy!!!) on the terrace! It was so peaceful and relaxing around the pool and around the tents! There is a lot of places in the property where you can just lay back and relax...

There are also yoga lessons in the morning -which are really great- but the best thing is the place where yoga lessons take part! The place is probably a very good reason to take a yoga class even if it's your first time. The view of the village from this place in the morning is totally magnificent.

We 've visited the village on foot and it is pretty easy and close. If you would like to visit the surroundings - which we suggest to everyone- we'd recommend renting a car for your time in Casa de Laila; not only is it just generally a better option for convenience, but apart from casa de Laila there are some other secluded gem places not very far from there. We are sure Anne-Marrie and Ben will tell you everything with pleasure.

We also had a great dinner in the terrace. The food was healthy, interesting and delicious. Anne Marie's cooking is exceptional and you'd be missing out if you didn't "eat in" at least once.

All in all, a holiday that we will remember very fondly indeed. We cannot recommend Casa de Laila highly enough!

Thank you very very much! Hasta la proxima vez!

October this year was our second time visiting Casa de Laila and although we thought it impossible....the place has gotten even more amazing.
Annmarie & Benjamin are the perfect hosts with lots of great tips on where to eat and visit locally to make your stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend booking in for dinner at Casa de Laila. Annmarie cooked us up an amazing feast and eating outside with the spectacular views was truly memorable. We can't wait to follow her upcoming Facebook recipe page! We enjoyed yoga on two separate days in the newly built outdoor structure, perfect for shade on hot days. For this visit, we stayed in the luxurious suite which we would highly recommend. We have glamped there before and that is just as special but if you really want to treat yourself, the suite is the way to go. The whole place is super clean and well run. This is the most welcoming & relaxing place we have ever been. We are planning our 2014 trip already. Thanks to Annmarie & Benjamin for another amazing holiday! Gold stars all-round!

We stayed at Casa de Laila in the middle of a 10 day road trip through Andalusia - the idea being that we would have a couple of days of pure relaxation in the middle of the trip. We're so glad we did - from the moment we arrived we were welcomed by our very generous hosts Ben and Anne-Marie, who have managed to create a really homey, peaceful place to stay.

The tents are great - spacious and comfortable and each comes with its own hammock outside, which are amazing.

The grounds are beautiful, with incredible views across the Andalusian hills, and loads of different trees growing avocados, oranges and other fruits I couldn't identify.

On the saturday, Ben and Anne-Marie told us about this brilliant festival of candles happening that evening in a neighbouring village, and sorted out a taxi so six of us staying at Casa de Laila could go. It was amazing, a proper Spanish fiesta, and a really cool experience. We didn't know any of the other people we went with that day, but we all got on really well.

Alhaurin el Grande itself is an average Spanish town, quite nice but nothing spectacular. Definitely listen to the restaurant/tapas recommendations from Ben - they are excellent.

We had a fantastic time at Casa de Laila, and have been recommending it to friends ever since!

Having read many of the reviews on here before our stay we were eager to experience the tranquil and relaxing Casa de Laila. It did not fail to disappoint. We were greeted at the gate by the very handsome Rami (a very friendly bear dog) who kept himself to himself but also liked a cuddle every so often. We arrived quite late in the evening and were welcomed by Ben who showed us to a beautiful little camping area lit with candles. The tents were very spacious, with your own area to take some time out from the sun if need be. Their garden is incredible, with trees filled with oranges, avocados sharon fruit, almonds... the list goes on. If you get a chance to experience the twice weekly feast then you're in for a treat. Delicious food created with lots of imagination. Benjamin and Anne Marie were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home straight away. It is the perfect retreat to unwind

We hired a car through Dragon Cars who we recommend. We had previously heard horror stories of car hire companies in Malaga, but they were efficient, and good value. This gave us the freedom to explore the surrounding areas of Andalucía.

We have just returned from a wonderful few days staying at Casa de Laila and I can sincerely say that it is a totally charming place to set about doing very little.
The tents are spacious, clean and airy with comfortable beds, and towels are provided. Outside is a seating area and a hammock which is perfect for reading or having a nap out of the sunshine. Toilet and shower facilities are basic but entirely sufficient for the size of the site and always kept very clean.
A lovely breakfast is provided each morning and wonderful home cooked meals are available twice a week (for reasonable extra cost) that are nutritious, inventive and prepared with a great deal of thought and care.
Alhurin el Grande is an interesting and diverse town that is relatively free of tourists and has a good range of restaurants. We were without a car and managed just fine but I would say to make the most out of your stay a car is handy to visit further afield. However being stranded in the near vicinity of Casa de Laila is no hardship when sunbathing, swimming, napping, yoga and maybe a massage are all readily available to you.
Benjamin and Anne Marie are charming hosts with helpful suggestions of what to do, and have a laid back attitude that makes you feel totally at home. They have clearly put a great deal of thought and effort into creating a place that is simple yet effective in all that it offers. I would highly recommend Casa de Laila to those seeking an uncomplicated location to kick back and unwind.
