This Museum gave a perspective of the islanders life during the Germans occupation which was very well laid out with extremely interesting items on view. Various videos also ran at pre-set times setting out their lives at that time and the hardships they faced, which were both very well worth watching.
Overall, a brilliant museum, which for WWII enthusiasts, is a must see.

Our tour of the museum began with a short video of the German Occupation then we spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits and reading various stories. We were impressed by the collection and found the stories touching, sad and very poignant. It brings the period of the German Occupation very much to life, showing both the brutality and sometimes the kindness displayed by the occupiers.

Stopped in for a quick look at this little museum as my husband is interested in military history. Spent well over two hours looking round. Really interesting and great value for money

We were amazed by the amazing of exhibits on display from large items of military equipment to letters and small personal items.

I must admit that many of these museums are created with love and dedication from the people who care for history. There is no doubt that this is one such museum and if you are a history or military buff it is a but of a must. Allow plenty of time to work your way around this site. If you have kids....well,it might be a bit of a stretch to keep them occupied. I have probably seen a few to many of these museums in my life and they all start to meld into one. Well done for the curators. Well worth a visit.
