This hotel is new and very modern and almost industrial in the stairways between the two towers.one faces the city and the other doesnt.Try to get as high a floor as possible because the views are terriffic. The restaurant is Ok but the choice is limited and they have no idea what a full english breakfast is.It was typically continental but there was plenty of it and you just helped yourself so youi could really "pig out" if you wanted.
Reception staff were very helpful especially Santiago who was very attentive.
The room was very WHITE and the double bed we had was a super king size enough room for four!! All the windows were shaped like leaves, quite unusual. There was a large flat screen tv with about 65 channels but only 4 in english which were all news.It was fun browsing though.
There was a fridge in the room and a free safe.Get your milk from the restaurant in the morning if you like a cuppa in your room.
The underground train station is about 3 0r 4 minutes from the hotel (same side,do not cross the road) and gets you into the centre of Barcelona in a matter of minutes. Buy a T10 ticket for 10 euros which gets you 10 trips on the metro or bus or tram or train. From our experience it lasts a long time.Well worth it.The underground system is extremely efficient.

Room Tip: Get a room on the city side ,much better view.Ask for a double bed ,dont settle on two singles pushe...

Travelled as a party of 6 for the Champions League match, Barca v Manchester City. Modern hotel, about 20 mins from the centre of Barcelona with the Metro less than 2 mins walk from the Hotel. Great buffet breakfast with a large selection, hotel bar reasonable priced (about €3.70 a beer) and local tapas about 10 mins walk from the hotel. Recommend the 46 bus from the Airport, ask for IKEA drop off then cross the road.

Stayed here for a weekend at the beginning of March as a small party of younger and older ladies, primarily to celebrate a 65th birthday. Unsure before we went whether it would suit us because it was not in the centre of Barcelona as such but as it is only a short ride from the airport and also into Barcelona (E11.5 taxi fare) the hotel itself was worth the journeys. Very contemporary style with many quirky features including what seems to be a garden growing through the centre right up to the roof!

Staff extremely helpful - we had our bags taken from us by the porter as soon as we walked through the doors, check-in was the matter of minutes - and everything we asked for was attended to promptly and very cheerfully including calling taxis and checking our return flights.

Breakfast selection rivals any cruise liner and the meal we ate on the first night of our stay was delicious. The poor barman (George) coped with us so well considering that we didn't want to go to bed (although we weren't drunk!) but as this hotel is probably more popular with business clients than tourists (who would probably stay to eat in the city in the evening) the bar was actually quite quiet.

Previous reviewers have mentioned the many touches such as books in the foyer and the rooftop terrace (although anyone with vertigo might not actually enjoy the lift ride!) and a couple of nights did not give us a chance to try everything.

This hotel is definitely one to consider if you want to be able to sleep peacefully after a noisy day's sightseeing.

My partner and I stayed for a short break, and from the moment we arrived at the hotel we were extremely happy. The staff were excellent, the breakfast absolutely superb with a very wide and varied choice of food - the fresh coffee was the best I'd ever tasted! The hotel was very modern, the rooms well equipped, ours was on the 19th floor with excellent views. Although during our visit in early March it was not the right weather to use the rooftop outdoor pool, we visited this and thought it would be lovely in summer. We enjoyed spending some time in the indoor pool though, the hot tub section at the end was lovely was were the water jets along the pool.
The hotel is within the €20 minimum taxi fare from the airport (we saw €13.70 on the meter) which only took around 10 minutes, alternatively there's a direct No. 46 bus to and from the airport which passes the hotel. The hotel is also right by the Metro which makes it easy to get into the city centre, alternatively it's around another 10 minutes by taxi to Las Rambla. We would have no hesitation staying here again. The room rate whenever there is not a business event on at the nearby exhibition / conference centre is very much less than the 'event' rate!

An awful lot to like about this very original hotel - a lot of open space , lifts that glide up and down with views on either side , an amazing roof terrace and modern tasteful decor . The bar is a little disappointing - seems like an afterthought jammed in to a small space , but the 14th floor restaurant is a delight and the food is pretty good and varied .

Rooms are Spartan white with warm wooden floors and very well thought out shower rooms ( great hairdryers , slightly confusing shower taps ) - very cool Gaudi-esque windows !! Beds a trifle hard , I had to unplug the i-home as the alarm kept going off @ 5.00 , anf the hanging space is limited , but I really liked them

Modern (small ) gym with great views , nice pool , very helpful , smiling staff ....this is a really excellent hotel in many ways- shame that the area is a little industrial

Room Tip: High up for great views !!

Beautiful hotel with lots of nice touches - loads of magazines and interesting books in the foyer, fabulous glass lifts zooming up the outside walls and through the vertical garden in the centre, very funky windows ... I could go on! Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly, breakfast amazing - I don't think I've ever been faced with quite such a choice!
A word of warning - don't pay much more than the minimum fare for a taxi from the airport (shown on a board at the taxi rank). If your driver tells you it's the minimum fare plus what's on the meter take his number (on the side of the car) and report him to Reception. Also, take the full address of the hotel as there are a few Renaissance hotels in Barcelona.

Great hotel, very original. I loved the bedrroms and public spaces. Finaly something very modern, different to the typical hotel - that tends to be predictable and boring. Breakfast was very nice with good choice.
