Stayed here for a girls 50th birthday weekend in July. Hotel was wonderful, very clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent with such a huge range of really lovely food. Our room was great, plenty big enough for 3 of us. The hotel is a bit out of the centre but it was cheap enough to share a taxi between us and such a short drive to La Rambla and the Marina and beach. The metro is just across the road which we used to connect with the open top bus. The roof top terrace and pool was wonderful to relax around on our arrival! A great stay would love to do it again and would recommend the hotel.

Lovely, clean, modern hotel that worked out half the price of using one in the city centre.

Check in was quick and easy . The receptionists all spoke good English. The hotel has a contemporary feel and everything new and stylish.

We had a family room. There was plenty of space, a good air conditioning system and even tea and coffee making facilities. There was no noise from outside the room and the beds were very comfortable.

We requested a room with a bath, which was granted.

The bath though was not the most comfortable design. Lots of towels, shampoos, razors, etc. available.Plenty of fast food outlets in the shopping centre just across the road. The rooftop pool area was very relaxing and offered great view of the airport and the city itself. Even though there are a few sun loungers, during our stay these were in high demand and you would need to be up very early to secure one.

The small pool on the rooftop was very cold and did not appear to be very clean, which was out of character with the rest of the hotel which was spotless.

Even though this is not a central hotel, you do have good access to the centre using the metro, buses or taxis's all within 2 minutes walk. it was very easy for us to reach from the airport using Bus 46. bus stops are dotted along the road as you exit the airport and come every 20 minutes.Get off when you see the Gran Via 2 shopping centre on your right. It is just a short five minute walk, almost directly behind this shopping centre. We used the T10 card which made the bus journey work out at just over €1 each- great value. ( you get these from the train/ underground station at the far end of the airport)

Dear Boushka,

thank you for leaving your comments in Tripadvisor. I am happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and I am sure all your comments will be very helpful for other clients.
About your little note about the pool, it is true we had an small problem with the color of the water, which had nothing to do with cleaning issues and was resolved within a few days. I feel sorry for this little inconvinient and hope you enjoy our pool next time you visit us.
Kind regards,

Good, modern and very clean hotel. Maids in daily and doing a great thorough job. Love the wooden flooring, nice walking about barefoot. Fab veranda on the top floor that has a handy bar with tasty red wine (3.50) however watch out for the overpriced beer, considering how cheap it is to buy in the city i thought that 4.50 euros each was WAY overpriced. 2 minutes away from metro but other than the shopping centre just outside theres not much to do in he area. Also some staff were very helpful but some very very very slow. My partner ordered a coffee and waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for it but it never came. Dissapointing! Service is one thing they need to look at. Nice local cafe/bar right to the right of the hotel as you are leaving. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Middle floor. Low street noise.

We stayed for 5 nights in a triple room with our teenager daughter. All beds comfy and full length, room big enough for the extra bed. We had a balcony so great for drying flannels althougg not a view you would like to stare out at. Great room, very helpful staff especially David on reception. Only opened last November so all fixtures and fittings still new looking. Restaurant staff very friendly slong with the Maids. The Metro is very close so make sure you buy a T10 ticket which is great value. All transport systems easy to use especially as we are used to the Tube in London. Not a city centre hitel but we would stay again as Barcelona is so easy yo get around.

We stayed here for the night before our cruise. The hotel was super accommodating and had our room ready when we arrived (at 10 am in the morning). This was AWESOME after a transatlantic flight and no sleep with two toddlers. Its location was a little out of the way and not super close to some of the top sites, but still a great pre cruise hotel. There are many playgrounds around the area so very family friendly.

The hotel was perfect for my girlfriend and I as we were on a city break looking to relax in an area that was close to the city but not in the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself was worth the money as it was located across the road from a very large shopping mall with a Carrefour to purchase and items needed. We didn't order any food from the hotel restaurant as it was overpriced (sandwich cost 10 euro compared to 2.50 in Carrefour)

Transport to and from the hotel was ideal. Bus service and metro ran regular services next to the shopping mall taking you directly to placa de catalunya(the start of Las Rambles) I would recommend getting the T10 card available in the metro station as it will save you money. 10.30 euro for 10 journeys of 2.15 for individual journeys.

The pool on the roof was small but ideal for an hour or two. The sun loungers were limited in number so get there early if you want one,

One thing to note is check in is after 3pm. We arrived at 11am and was told we would have to wait. The hotel did present us with a free bottle of Cava once we settled into our room to apologies for the wait.

This hotel is brand new and really good. You get a really good hotel for desent money but of course need to take the Metro or Taxi to the city center (about 15 € for taxi or 1 € with Metro if you buy a T10 card). We personally prefer to stay in a really good hotel and have a few km to the city instead of opposite. The hotel also have a pool on the roof with a good bar (well priced). We stayed for 5 nights in 3 rooms and were very happy. The last night it was raining and we stayed in the hotel restaurant for dinner. That was also a great positive experience. Great food (see photos) and great coffee and cognac (Carlos I). The only negative thing we can say about this hotel is the check in and the slow but free WiFi. We were 7 people and it took 30 minutes to check in. They wanted to scan all passportes etc. Better if they have asked us to keep the passports and give them back next day. But in general great staff members who always tried there best and we were very happy with the stay. We definitly will stay here again when we go to Barcelona but we are of course aware of that it is 3-4 km to the city. Thanks from Lars Lagerkvist and famillies staying 24-29 July 2014.

Room Tip: Really good hotel but be prepared to take Taxi or Metro to the city center.
