“A lovely hotel”
Reviewed 8 October 2009

The Prestige Congress, although a little far out, is a lovely hotel with plenty going for it. We got it for a very good price of £130 for 3 nights between 2 of us, which I feel is excellent considering how much more you pay for a central hotel. The hotel itself is very modern, with a wet room shower, and plenty of little gadgets in the rooms to keep the men amused. The bed in our room was two singles pushed together, but it didn't particularly bother us and it wasn't uncomfortable. I think we found one English channel on the TV, but that's not an issue when you're there to explore the city rather than watch the telly. The hotel spa (in the basement) was included in the price we paid, but we didn't end up using it - we had a peek though, and it looked really nice. The only problem I had with staying here was nothing to do with the hotel itself, just the fact that it meant much more use of the subway, which I really wasn't keen on as it was far too hot down there for me! Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Barcelona and would return to the city again, though would probably choose a hotel closer to the centre.

Very big and comfortable hotel. Free wi-fi. Well-designed room, very functional. No bath in the room, but there is a nice shower stoll (not shy ;) ). The only drawback — it's very sharp and unpleasant doorbell embedded in the head bed.

I spent two nights mid-september. check-in ok, bar and restaurants ok (but overpriced), Room is extremely modern with lots of useless gadgets: electrical blinds, complex LED system, one CRT telivision from Bang&Olufsen (they could have put a TFT...), free drinks from the mini-bar but with only 3 bottles inside, and worst of all, NO DESK and poor Wi-Fi signal. For a "conference" hotel in a business area, this is very disappointing.
Hotel public price cost about 450 euros for a basic room, off course with deals and corporate agreements, my Company only paid 65€. At 450 this is total rip-off, at 65 this is a fantastic deal.

We stayed here for a Citibreak, the hotel was spotless and very modern. It was on an industrial type estate which was deserted on the weekend. It encouraged us to use public transport, the train if 5 mins walk away, and you can get the train straight into Barcelona. Taxis are prone to ripping you off! I would suggest ask the driver for the fair before getting in. Hotel advertise shuttle bus to airport, but when we got there they no longer have the facility!!!! Although we did see it parked outside on one occasion.!

Stayed at Prestige Congress for 2 nights - booked online $69 per night. Efficient check in, lovely rooms very modern and spotless. Jacuzzi was great, as was the gym equipment. Efficient service in the bar - drinks reasonably priced for a 4* hotel.
Located 5 minute walk from train station and Carrefour. Buy a T10 ticket for 7.70 euros, this is an integrated ticket so can be used on trains / metro.

Airport shuttle a definite plus - driver was very polite and helpful.

Only downside, smoking allowed in the bar area - very unpleasant if you don't smoke.
Would not hesitate to use this hotel again - great value for money if you book online.

This is a very good hotyel that offers a lot of services: very good food (breackfast), spa and restaurant.
The room was very big and confortable. Very clean and nice.
There is no bath in the room but there is a nice shower stoll.
For us the only problem was the location, you will have to be prepared to walk some 500 meters to the closest metro station and then make some combinations beetween the trains to get the place you want,

I loved the fact there was a free airport shuttle to and from the airport. Marco was awesome at the front desk. Isabel was very knowledgeable and helped me obtain boarding passes because everything was in Spanish on the website for confirming return flight. There was a nearby mall with good food that was inexpensive. Beware of pickpockets! People on a motorcycle tried to yank my pocketbook from behind me. Great Hotel
for the price. I used hotel.com to get a great price. Barcelona is a short ride on the metro.
