This place really has it all. A 300 hundred year old castle with comfortable rooms. Fantastic food eaten with the amazingly charming father and son hosts. By a lovely village to stroll around. Scenery out of this world on their vast property . Did I mention leopards almost, but not quite too close for comfort?
You should stay at least 2 nights to make the most of the safaris, sunset drinks etc.
One of the best places I have been to and I wish the family all the best for the bright future I am sure they will have.

Excellent position, easy to find.An old hotel with charm of past times. Old rooms but have a different charm like no other heritage hotel I have seen. The bathrooms are lavious and hygenic. We liked the location very much. The staff everywhere were very nice and polite. We didn’t expect a leopard sighting in the monsoon season and they promised a lepoard sighting and they made it possible. We were able to sight 3 leopards.

Castle Bera – nestled in hamlet – Bera surrounded by rocks and river is a jewel of Rajasthan. Have been going to Bera for past 12 years, virtually in every season be it Winter, summer or Monsoon. Monson is my favorite, for multiple reasons. Jawai dam is full, duck galore with fledglings and of course huge crocs to behold. Leopard sighting is guaranteed irrespective of the time one picks. Open jeep safaris take you away from brain wrecking city life. Winku Bana’s hospitality, adds a touch of class to this more than 300 year old Rawla, a reminiscient of bygone era. Frescos in bathroom are simply breathtaking. Breakfast by riverside, impeccably arranged is beyond words. For any wildlife enthusiast or a casual traveler, journey of Rajasthan is incomplete without a visit to Castel Bera. Happy to learn about new additions to the property. Kudos to Winku Bana and Team Castle Bera.

Room Tip: Rooms in Ralwa offer a fantastic opportunity to observe the old architecture

The homestay is very cosy and nice. The owners do eveything to make your stay comfortable and to make sure you'll spot leopards and wildlife during the safari's. We ate with the family and the food was superb. We enjoyed it very much. The rooms are really nice and big, in traditional style but with a modern bathroom.
We spent one night at Bera castle and did a night and an early morning safari. It might be better to do two nights, since then you'll have more time for the safari's. We loved the safari's! The jeeps are great and the area is very beautiful with some farmer villages a big lake with crocodiles and the mountains where the leopards live.
Seeing the leopards was a very nice experience!!!

Been here on all girls trip. Its 5 hours journey from Ahmedabad and thus not so far place to get the feel of royal living and adventurous Eco safari. Spotted three leopards on the First day of Safari. Great hospitality, Great home cooked food, Palace rooms are clean and well maintained. Overall awesome experience.
