This superb manor house hotel had the added bonus of beautiful grounds including a walled garden. The estate is on the banks of Loch Ryan, which can be seen from the house and extensive grounds. The room was large and well furnished and the shower room spacious. The only slight niggle was that the only light came from a velum directly over the bed so pulling blind was a little awkward. However, the staff were all very friendly and helpful so sure it wouldn't be a problem for them to do it for you. A top class hotel at reasonable rates in rural Ireland... What's not to like.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for one with window as opposed to velum to avoid blind problem.

What a magnificent find. Thank you to all the attentive staff who made our visit so memorable. Our room, the gardens and both dinner and breakfast were all superb. I will be highly recommending to all Aussies who visit Ireland to put Lough Rynn Castle on their agenda.
No words can express our gratitude.

Myself and my boyfriend received a voucher for a Dinner for 2, for the Table D`hote. We were not sure what to expect as it was our first time to visit the hotel. One word, perfection! The grounds and surroundings are fantastic and the atmosphere was so welcoming. You could spend the whole evening exploring the hotel and never get bored. Each room was different and had its own identity. On arrival the bar man (from Offaly, didnt get his name), was chatty and very welcoming and could not do enough to insure we felt comfortable. We booked our table for 7,30, so had a chance to take in the grounds from our table and to relax. When we went to the restaurant , it was fabulous, It was busy when we arrived, a monday which was great, But even though it was busy, we did not feel squished beside other tables. Anthony, Andrew and Janos (I think, that is his name, apologies if not), All three where super and made sure we were relaxed through the whole meal. They were so professional, but still had great personalities and chat. The food was out standing, complements to the chef! We were given a selection of breads, Guinness, Cardamom and Coriander and another bread with black olives and olive oil, we had a duck breast and mougtout with a jus as compliment from the chef, I ordered the Goats Cheese with roasted veg, as did my boyfriend and for mains I had the sea bass with savoy cabbage and saffron sauce, my boyfriend had the chicken wrapped in bacon with a potato gratin and a gravy. For dessert I had Eton mess with fresh berries and my boyfriend Baileys Cheesecake. We had no complaints what so ever. Everything was perfect. We both enjoyed our experience and will return very soon. I recommend Lough Rynn highly for any occasion.

We visited here for a Sunday lunch with the family. Rang up the day before to book and the girl was very helpful. Before our lunch we went for a walk in the beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel, which is definitely well worth it. There is a stunning walled garden and a walk along the shores of the lake.

The restaurant was great, 10 of us were seated at a large round table. Orders were taken promptly and soon we were poured glasses of water which were regularly topped up without us asking. We were then given warm bread rolls and butter then our starters. On our table we had haddock which was delicious, pumpkin ravioli and a caesar salad all of which were polished off. Considering there were 10 of us eating these arrived so quickly, very impressive!

Then onto the mains... beef, lamb, chicken and sea bass were on offer and someone on our table had each option and everyone loved their meal. Vegetables and mash potato were provided to share. Then for desert we chose either a crumble tart which was tasty or profiteroles, which went down well. This was followed by a choice of tea or coffee for the table.

The food was wonderful, amazingly good value considering the quality, the location and the superb service we received. 2 courses was €20 and 3 courses €26. This was similar to what you would pay in local restaurants and pubs for sub standard microwave food and poor service so in future we will most certainly be returning to Lough Rynn.

The service was exceptional, especially the charming Zoltan and the location and building truly stunning a must visit if in Leitrim.

We visited for two nights and it was a most relaxing stay. The staff are so welcoming and attentive, without being in your face. There is an atmosphere that they will do anything to ensure your comfort and you are looked after with a genuine air of hospitality. The bedroom was beautiful and comfortable. I left my phone charger after me and Hannah -the Accommodation Manager and Briona the Receptionist went out of their way to ensure I got it posted back to me. It was their manner of dealing with the situation that was impressive. Would that you could meet that level of service every place but you don't sadly. Others could learn lessons from the Staff in Lough Rynn. We will be back!!

Room Tip: We have stayed in the new section last year and the older part of the hotel this year. We preferred...
