We stayed 1 night using a Groupon deal on route to London. We had a standard room which was clean & acceptable however a bit dated & heated towel rail & bath panel broken. What made it was the friendly staff & very tasty food. We used the pool & steam room too, pool a bit small. Would recommend this hotel to anyone for a short stay.

I chose this hotel as it is mid way between Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The Hepworth Centre. The mixed reviews that this hotel has received recently are most likely due to other guests as my experience was excellent.
The hotel is very easy to find, just off Junction 39 and has ample free parking. It was clearly well used for business meetings. I stayed two nights, the room was clean and comfortable. I found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. I had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, not breakfast. The food was excellent, the service a little slow, probably due to the fact that everything was freshly cooked. The health club is small but well used and there is good free wifi. I was very pleased that I chose this hotel.

Stayed for one night gor my husbands 30th. Excellent value for money. Room was a superior room- clean, comfortable, spacious with free wine with package. Food- good selection, excellent breakfast. Spa- clean changing rooms although small- door opened onto changing area so changed in private changing luckily available because only one. Pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room all clean and enjoyable. As a fan of spas I would say I missed loungers and option to buy food and drink at poolside. Overall enjoyable stay

I stayed at the Cedar Court Hotel as part of a National Holiday package to Leeds/York for my 30th birthday on 23/8/14. We arrived to a group of drunken boxing fans on the steps to the entrance. Once inside the reception staff were lovely and we were checked in quickly with no fuss. I was given room 138 - it was very dusty and had cobwebs on the ceiling, the valance sheet was dirty, wallpaper was peeling in places, and I had no TV remote, I had a ripped ironing board with no iron, the tap in the bathroom was leaking which had mould around the over flow and when trying to have a shower I had no hot water. The room walls are very thin I could hear my neighbours text messages coming through and her being sick at 3am so sleep was impossible with all the noise in the hotel. The evening meal was nice and tasty but I think forcing people to sit together to save room made some feel uncomfortable. We felt that because we were part of a package deal that we didn't get the best service and that we were all sat together away from the higher paying guests. For the hotel to be 4* we certainly didn't see that in the rooms even budget hotels are clean and basic.

We visited on a groupon offer and everything was perfect except from the service at dinner and breakfast. There was a delay with ordering, receiving drinks requested but absolutely no time between starter and main course. At breakfast many tables were left dirty and it took a while to get anyone's attention for service

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night for work.

This hotel is certainly not a 4 star hotel as advertised.

I had two rooms as the first room a bit shabby and need of a refurb which I can accept but it was not clean. There was remains of the moths that some had swatted the the night before all down the wall. The bathroom was also not that clean enough. However the worst issue was the constant humming noise from the beer cellar below and next door. Better sound proofing required in room 216.

After complaining the room was changed with out fuss.

The second room was much better and very quiet, This looked as it has been re decorated not that long ago however not to a very high standard. The cleanliness was still an issue. The housekeeping staff don't appear to have attention to detail. The sink had dirt around the plug hole and there what appeared to be mucus on the shower wall, I did not get too close to it to fully confirm what fluid it was. It was very high up and out of my reach and I could not be bother to complain again.

Breakfast was poor. There was a good selection but most of the "hot food" was cold and soggy. They had used steamers to keep food warm which for hash browns seemed bizarre as they went to a soggy mess. Why can't they serve fresh food to order??? If the food was warm then it would be a very good breakfast

I did not use the bar, restaurant for my evening meal or the health club as such I cannot comment on these.

If they got the attention to detail right this hotel could be very good value for money for the business market during the week. It certain did not have the feel of a full hotel. It has great motorway access and the wifi access was superb.

I would use this hotel again only as it has potential to be very good and at £59 its acceptable value.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the beer cellar typically room 116 and 216
