“Fabulous Hotel”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

I thought I had reviewed this after our trip last August but realise that I haven't done so yet.
The Aqua Blu hotel is quite honestly one of the smartest and nicest hotels we have stayed in. When I booked our holiday through Olympic I had no idea that we would be staying in one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World - what a nice surprise. We had a wonderful, large, sleek room with a balcony that looked over the front entrance and the beach. The service was very attentive, we ate breakfast at the hotel daily but ate out in the evenings. The pool and pool area were excellent, damp towels removed as soon as someone vacated a bed, fresh ones were always available. Waiter service around the pool was also excellent.
We had never been to Kos before and thoroughly enjoyed our week there: there is plenty to do, Kos town is a brisk 25 minute walk and there is a bus stop near the hotel. We hired bikes (incredibly cheap - 3 euros each for the day, we also hired a beach buggy for the day which was a lot of fun.
It really was a fabulous hotel, clean, elegant and very comfortable - the only thing preventing us from returning is that there is so much more of Greece and the world to explore!!

I stayed here with a friend for a Greek Island meet-up at the end of October. We picked the hotel because of the very reasonable price at the end of the season.

Everything (except one thing) was perfect about the Aqua Blu Hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We both got a personal welcome and chat from the hotel manager and the facilities were wonderful. Two cleaning services per day meant that our room was never full of sand from the beach. The breakfast service was wonderful - customized every day and delicious fresh orange juice. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, as was the bar restaurant - we particularly enjoyed their greek salad.

One small complaint: the bathroom doors in the rooms aren't very private - just a sliding tinted glass door that doesn't mask sound very much. No matter how much you love person , you want a toilet area with privacy! Luckily there is a much better toilet area on the gym floor...

The end of October was still quite warm - perfect for lounging by the pool but a bit too chilly to swim. My friend and I rented bikes and went into the town every day - bike rentals extremely cheap and a good way to get into town, which is a bit of a walk away.

I am looking forward to returning here one day with my spouse. Thank you to everyone at this hotel for a perfect stay!

Room Tip: Double Suite Sea View on the top floor had a lovely view.

This place is even better than it looks on the website. The staff are friendly and could not do more for you. Some of the ground floor rooms have private pools and we highly recommend those. Also the restaurant is fantastic. We'll be going back.

This is one of the best small hotels that we have stayed in. Had one of the suites with our own pool which was great to be able to walk out of room into pool and had nice bed for laying in sun. The spa is good and the massage is excellent. Enjoyed the food they where trying to do it in style of Huston and pulled it off fairly well, loved the deserts that came with a file of booze in flavour of the pudding

Room Tip: Have a suite with own pool

As the last customers to book in of the season, we could easily have been subjected to that dreaded "we don’t care attitude" -however, this was the exact opposite of our experience. My daughter and I were treated as "Royalty" and made to feel extremely special. From the snack and cocktail waiting on arrival (we thought you might be a little peckish) to the leaving gift from the Manager! The Aqua Blu Hotel has undoubtedly the highest standards of service possible. The food is excellent and the meal we had in the Fine Dining Restaurant was exquisite and not expensive (you would pay 3 times the amount in London).

We selected this hotel after carefully researching the online reviews, which were excellent. Neither, the reviews or the photographs lie. It is truly a beautiful, well maintained and with a serene calm and efficient ambiance. The style is chic, the service friendly and attentive. “No” is not given as an answer, a solution to a problem is always found.

I highly recommend this hotel and may well return (which is a first for me - I never go back!). Thank you for an excellent 3 night experience!

This was our first visit to Greece and I can't understand why it took us so long ? We came to attend a wedding and to relax after a very stressful year. We booked independently after researching trip advisor. We booked a double sea view room.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in ( we have stayed in many 5 star hotels around Europe for work purposes) ! The room was excellent ( 402 ) with superb wet room / shower and very comfortable super king size bed . But the star of the room was by far the view which is spectacular. There is nothing as relaxing as lying in your bed looking out on a beautiful unobstructed view of the Aegean Sea.
The included breakfast was very good with both hot and cold buffet items in addition to a served menu. We never waited longer than a few minutes to be seated and served with delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. Food is of excellent quality and is replaced frequently.very good range of items.
The restaurant was very good with a good choice menu and excellent food.
The bar was very good and served alternative menu to the restaurant - cheaper and simpler.
The pool area is fantastic with enough beds etc for everyone. Pool towels were plentiful . A special mention here to the pool bar attendant - Maricel - who walked around every 10-15 minutes to take orders for food/ drinks and was extremely helpful.
The pool was cold but very refreshing on a hot day - lovely clear water.
The best quality this hotel has is its staff. Lead by the manager Maria they made our holiday with their attention to detail - nothing was too much trouble.
Undoubtedly we will return having had a wonderful holiday ?

Room Tip: A sea view room on the top floor is worth paying extra for.
