The hotel is located ideally on a quiet street but very close to the water and a few minutes walking distance to the old city, the main port and marina. The rooms are welcoming and very clean, the lobby where breakfast is served is spacious and neatly decorated, the cost affordable.
My wife and I were there for one week at the end of September, a friend had suggested the place, what we got was a lot more than we had anticipated. Alexis and his family were perfect hosts and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable as well as being very helpful with tips to get around the city and the island. They were well informed about buses, ferries etc. and as new tourists to Kos this made our stay more relaxed and enjoyful.
If we ever make it back to Kos, and soon we hope, we will definitely stay there again.
Thank You Alexis and Family for making our stay so wonderful.

We visited Kos this summer in August. We decided to stay at Afendoulis Hotel.
The hotel was close to the harbour. When we arrived there we felt we were at home.
The owners of the hotel are so friendly people that you wish to go there for the second
time.Their daughter was a very good guide. She helped us very much about visiting
the island.Every morning all family members prepared breakfast and served it very
quickly. The breakfast was very rich.It was suitable for every nationality. The room of
the hotel was very clean. The hotel was very close to the center of Kos town and
the harbour. They also helped us buying ferry tickets to other islands of Greece.
The price of Afendoulis hotel is also reasonable according to the service and
breakfast they offer.

Room Tip: Back doors are more silent

This is exactly the kind of hotel I love: affordable, friendly, clean and comfortable. It is in easy walking distance of dozens of restaurants and tourist areas. I hope to return again someday...soon!

Room Tip: I had a room on the front which had a balcony

The hotel is very good located. The rooms are small but clean. The ambiance is like a family house.
The owner Alexis is very helpful, hi was ready to help with everything, car rental, reservations, visit advices etc.
The breakfast is good enough with the feta omelette and home made marmalades.
We will return Alexis, thank you for all.

The service and hospitality at the Hotel Afendoulis exceeded what you would get at a five star hotel. Alexis and his family are all very friendly and eager to help with information needed to have a great time in Kos. The hotel is family run yet also very professionally run. When we checked in, Alexis offered to pick up our bags at the marina - instead of our having to walk back to get them and get a cab back. I thought that was extraordinary service. The location is perfect. Quiet street yet walking distance to the old city and sites. Rooms are plain but very clean. Lobby and outside veranda are very pleasant. Feta omelletes for breakfast were great and the home made jams were really tasty. I would stay no where else in Kos.

Alexis his Wife & Daughter Made our stay in Kos very special! their attention & easygoing manner eased our travel stresses as we had been on the road for some time & Lucy the kitten bounding all over the place added to the home away from home atmosphere, a special mention to the breakfasts home cooked Fetta omelette & home made Marmalades with Greek Yogurt Fantastic! Alexis (the owner) handled all our rental Car,Bike & Travel (to Bodrum Turkey) bookings @ competitive rates, so all we did was enjoy his tips on where to go & how to get there, if you stay any where else (in my opinion) you are wasting time money & energy better used enjoying your holiday!

A very good family-run hotel in Kos Town. The location is good, not far from the centre and close to the sea but not too busy or noisy an area. The family who run the hotel could not be more helpful or friendly. Very strongly recommended
