“A little piece of Greek heaven.”
Reviewed 16 July 2013

Wow, what a find. Best food we have eaten in Greece. In a now tourist driven Kos town, Never On Sunday has not fallen into the trappings and is a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle that you can't believe is only 50 yards away!! Tranquil atmosphere, genuinely friendly service and home cooked Greek food that was unbelievably good. Some people have mentioned the portion size, so what we did was order two each, which was great because, including the our two little girls portions, it meant we had 6 fabulous dishes to go at. A little tricky to find, but once you have accomplished that, you'll make sure you don't forget.......was the best part of our holiday for us. Thank You.

“Eat here - but not if you're hungry”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

This certainly is a peaceful and understated place to eat, a few tables in an atmospheric garden, but the food was dished up in strikingly mean portions. The fennel pastry pie contained just a smear of the vegetable. Virtually empty. The sausage dish was - one sausage. With an odd squiggle of hotdog mustard at its side. Shrimps in spicy tomato sauce gave us just four large prawns. The monk's salad contained stale bread and not a lot else. Do eat here - but not if you're hungry.

“True non-touristic experience in Kos”
Reviewed 6 September 2012

This is an extraordinary hidden treasure that is making trip to Kos an opportunity to sink into real local atmosphere. This place is dramatically different from "touristic-set menu-barker" style places that are plenty in Kos. Its owner and soul - George is great host and plesant company - as in this place he would not only serve you delicious food, but also would be happy to invite you to join the friendly Greek style one big table gathering until late at night, where everyone is talking, laughing and drinking in an atmosphere of real Greek family home.

“GOOD BASIC LOCAL MEZE STYLE RESTAURANT”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

As it says, Never on Sunday, and it is only open in the evenings. It can be found at the back of the bus station on the narrow street leading to Diagora Square. It is on the left hand side half way up the little street. Good basic Greek food.

“Worth seeking out.”
Reviewed 7 June 2012

Went to this restaurant after it was recommended in a guide as the best in Kos Town.If you want a real greek experience,go there. Its hard to find, looks like a house rather than a restaurant and only seats about 20 at a push. The food is fantastic, delicious, authentic, the service personal and friendly and the atmosphere, unique and relaxing.Special mention also for the choice of music played, greek and jazz, which like the restaurant itself was totally original.
