I travelled to this hotel with my boyfriend last July and it was a nice hotel for a quick get- away.

Room: Ok, beds were comfy but just 2 twins put together! Room door was very flimsy and easily broken into so be careful! TV - only had one English channel - BBC news which when you want to chill for an hr before going to dinner extremely annoying! Other than that pretty standard.

Food: Again, alright hotel is full of Germans so a lot of elbow shoving and all the good food goes quick! Really enjoyed their chicken dishes though and having the Chef cook the meat just how you like it!

Pool: Once again, there was only a handful of English to the Germans who dominated the pool area and the Beach - beds are taken also really early in the morning but we just bought 2 lilo's and had them on the beach and around the pool to lay on until a bed was available!

Beach: Very stony so take some jellies! I wouldn’t have gone in the sea without mine!

Tip Hire a bike! - We spent every night in Kos Town and loved it! Don't go back to the same place twice but would recommend if the price was cheap again!

On arrival we were put into a self catering apt. next to the hotel. We were half board so not sure why we were put there. I did not even put my coat down but went back and asked to me moved. The receptionist was very pleasant but I had to be quite firm the room was not up to standard, it was dark, damp and shabby and very poor decor. We were moved immediateley to a room in the hotel which was lovely with views over to Turkey. The cleaners were fab and did the room every day. The food was not good. Cold and not a good standard. I have stayed in Greece before and love their food but this was horrible. The waiting staff were very good and pleasant. The pools and grounds to the hotel were lovely although as end of season the beach cafe was shut. Evenings were quiet in the hotel and it seemed only the all inclusive guests were catered for. It was a seperate bar for half boarders and poorly stocked and manned and not cheap. The hotel did bike hire which was great value and the hire man lovely, his dogs were also lovely.!!Kos itself was lovely and the people fantastic. I will return to Kos but not to Hotel Atlantis.

The Atlantis was not our choice the original (Aquis Marine) closed for the season, but it is much closer to Kos Town which was a Godsend because the hotel had no enterainment. It's a 15 min walk into town or 1 Euro each way on the bus which stops right outside the hotel.
The hotel is large (ish), the main building has the reception area/lounge, restaurant, bars & several floors of rooms above (lifts & stairs to these rooms). The other rooms are spread out in various blocks & bugalows in the garden area-where we were to begin with, but after a couple of disturbed nights sleep due to moskitos, drain smells, noisy neighbours & the final straw-crowing cockerals! The reception lady couldn't of been more helpful even letting us look at several rooms to choose an alternative, plumping for a fantastic one right next to the beach-yes!
We stayed all inclusive & yes the meals do get very repetative. They do cater for a wide range of nationalities. Maybe there's more choice in season?
All in all the hotel is in a good spot for the beach & Town. It was clean, good value but if I were to visit Kos again I would go during there main season April/May-early Oct.

We were changed to this hotel by our travel company a few days before we left so did not know what to expect. If we had known, we would never have chosen it. We were on all inclusive, this was farcicle. The only time you could get a hot drink was at breakfast, and then once again at 5.00pm. No hot drinks available with lunch or dinner. The all inclusive drinks were rough. My husband said the beer was like fizzy water and the spirits gave you a sore throat. No diet coke available. If you wanted a hot drink, or a decent alcoholic drink, you had to pay for it. A small cup of coffee cost 2 Euros, a small cup of tea, 1 Euro, 80 Cents.

The food was bland and repetative. At breakfast, fruit available was tinned fruit salad, tinned sliced peaches or tinned pineapple. Lunch and dinner were pretty much the same each day.

Our room was very basic. Considering we had been told we were getting an upgrade because of the change, we had expected something decent. What we got was a basic family room, which meant we had an extra two beds......television picture was 'snowy' and only 2 english channels, both news.

As the weather was so awful, not the fault of the hotel, we had expected the hotel would lay on some entertainment, no chance. There was absolutely nothing to do during the day in the hotel. You could play pool, but that cost you extra. I have never been to a hotel where there was no entertainment whatsoever. The weather was too bad to go out but there was nothing to do staying in.

We had had enough 3 days in and came home early, happy to pay Easyjet the extra money to get an earlier flight.

Got a mega cheap deal so couldn't refuse, i completely agree with the last post! this hotel is and ideal base to explore the island, we were self catering so didn't eat or drink in the hotel but the bars and restaurant looked quite nice, to be honest i would rather give my money to the locals and eat and drink in the establishment, you get more of a greek experience and service is vey high (they are very thankful for business) not to mention the food. it really boils my blood when people complain about the type of sand a beach has, or that there are too many foreigners at a particular resort, those people should just stay and home!

I enjoyed Kos very much and the Hotel is just fine. stayed in a lot lot lot worse but for the price it was phenomenal!

Have to say that I had a lovely holiday in Kos but this didn't have a great deal to do with Hotel Atlantis! The upside for the hotel is that I found it mostly to be clean, the female receptionists and older gent receptionist were extremely helpful and the place is a good base to get to and from Kos town as well as other locations. Downside is the hotel needed a refurb about 30 years ago and the other hotel staff were not what you'd call helpful (eg, was asked while waiting in Reception for coach transfer at 01:30 to sit 'normally' in a chair - I was sat with my arms over the legs doing my best to sleep but without my shoes touching the chair itself). In the end we had to laugh at some of the peculiarities of the place! We were only HB so were expected to pay 3 euros a day to hire a pool side bed. It seemed we had in fact paid more than those on an all inclusive package who got the pool beds free. The beds were chained and padlocked so you couldn't just help yourself. It also proved very difficult to set up a bar tab for the drinks you had during dinner - found this unsual. That said, you can easily walk to Kos Town from the hotel (and the bus service is frequent if you don't fancy it). Kos Town has much to offer. Day trip to Nisyross was enjoyable as was the day trip to Bodrum.
