Just returned from a weeks stay at the Nicon apts, its was a last minuet booking and we were not disappointed, the gardens nicely kept and very clean along with our room, great pool plenty of sunbeds small children's area compact but well thought out, I had my Granddaughter with me so ideal we were able to watch her and relax while she played or swam. It was family run and they were all lovely, good food Greek/English cooked at the pool side bar, and they put on a great Greek night which was enjoyed by all. Good location near bus stop supermarket and beach, which was pebbly only spent one day on there which was nice but preferred the pool at the apts

Room Tip: Avoid rooms over the bar can get a little noisy

We stayed here for a week with 2 children aged 1 and 4. We expected a certain quality of service from Thomson, it's a shame that this accommodation is well below a 21st century family requirements. Very dated design (which was not a main issue though) and unequipped kitchen welcomed us. Probably I never been to such a poorly equipped kitchen, they did not had even a microwave. This is not easy when you are with kids. There were stairs up to our terrace so we always had to supervise our crawling baby not to fell off. Obviously they were aware that we are coming with baby, but no high chair was supplied, again made every feeding a nightmare. The travelcot did not have a mattress, when I asked for 1 at reception they informed me it comes like this. I hope they will sleep in the same quality bed till the end of their life like my son had to sleep in! I made a mattress for him out of blankets and our own sheet to sort out this situation.
For my work it is crucial to have internet access all time. When arrived the reception informed that at our apartment there is no WiFi at all only at poolside. Ok, tried it several times but was not working, they told they are aware of the issue but there are to many smartphones... ridiculous. I had to go to restaurants all the time to check my emails! This was a complete lie again. Unfortunately my baby had a small accident one night, however the sheet was not taken away till we left the room. The rooms were cleaned all day (only positive) but the sheets were not changed at least ones in a week. Not to mentione that there was no soap or washing liquid so after a tiring travel you have to make a trip to buy this if you want to wash your hands properly.
All in all I would recommend this accommodation: for all my enemies!!!

went to the nicon on the 26 of august fof a week . we arrived 4 o clock in the morning and were greeted off the bus . we were shown our apt 31 and he said goodbye . i asked him how do i get air con and he said not untill the morning ,it was very hot allnight amd could have done with air con , nicon was very nice and the staff were very nice and the pool was very very good , the price of food and beer was very cheap and again the girls who served the food always had a smile , it was only a mile from kos town which was very nice , the only bad points i would say was they should change the bath towels every day not twice a week .i had to beg for clean towels one day because it was so hot . i would stay in the nicon again because they made you feel so welcome .beware of the cyclist out side ihe nicon as they ere hundreds of them

Room Tip: dont go for the ground floor as the cockrokces come in

we stayed at the Nicon apts from the 8th-22nd july in a group of 12 consisting of family and friends, it was our first time on Kos and the Nicon apts so really didn't know what to expect as we usually go to corfu.Transfer time was around 40mins from the airport , we were given a twin bed apt and if your used to doing self catering in greece it was pretty much as you would expect clean a little dated but on the whole a fairly good sized apt with shower toilet, basic cooking facilities and cups glasses etc etc.The only downside was the aircon wasn't included and was for our apt 8 euros per day which equated to 112 euros for the 2 weeks, friends of ours had a two bed studio apt and that was 10 euros a day 140 for the fortnight which is pretty expensive as the most we've paid is 30 euros per week.
Back to the hotel its situated in very well kept grounds with lovely flowers and lemon trees and when we were there they kept these regularly watered and maintained, the pool was also very clean with plenty of sunbeds dotted around no complaints there the pool bar was open all day until the last person left at night and did a selection of food from full meals which were very tasty to fresh rolls for a light snack the two girls cooking worked flat out all day and nothing was too much trouble. The bar staff Arthur, Romeo and Nic were great in the evenings supplying plenty of shots and some strong cocktails and the greek night was excellent with great food and wine for ten euros each recommended! The Nicon is just off the main road into Kos town if you turn left its about a 15 min walk to reach town if you turn right there's some lovely restaurants along the beach which we went to most nights our two favorites being Taverna Blue Ocean and Nestoras, only thing to look out for when walking to these restaurants is the push bikes which share the path and seem to have right of way!Forgot to mention there's a supermarket just up the road on the right from the hotel which seemed to stock everything including fresh rolls and bread daily.
All in all i cant fault the Nicon apts and would definitely return and for the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised i would like to say thanks to spiros his family and staff for giving us another gem to consider when we book our holidays !

Room Tip: ground floor rooms are cooler so you don't need the aircon !

the hotel staff make this place they work very hard, the Nicon has a good pool and a nice snack area. The rooms are basic but are well cleaned every day. The self catering is equipment is alright, however we ate out every day so did not cook in the apartment. The food in the Nicon is good. We did have a problem with cockroaches but this was dealt with by the management swiftly. We took our grandchild with us and she loved the pool area. The air con was a bit over priced around 10 euros a night. But don't let this put you off from trying the Nicon apartments if you are going to Kos. Its not five star but it is a nice little complex, just bear this in mind when you go.

Room Tip: the ground floor rooms are the best and makesure you get one away from the bar area and from the roa...

We could not get in the Nicon this year but called in a couple of times to say hello. Same lovely friendly welcome and great service. So disappointed we were at the Niriides round the corner and the atmosphere is no where near as good. Love this place and the staff and Nic is great he is mine of information.
