Pelagos Suites Hotel

We are a family of 4 - 2 daughters aged 10 & 13. We stayed in a one bed apartment in Pelagos hotel and had a very enjoyable week
Accommodation was spacious and clean and service was excellent.
I have to agree with all the other positive reviews on here.
As other posters have mentioned Vassilli or Bill or Eric depending on his favoured name that night !! was very entertaining and remembers your name and what you drink each night - which is quite impressive considering how many guests he serves.
He has been told he is fmous on Tripadvisor!!
Just one word of warning - don't ask him if the water park is open - whether this taverna is good or that boat trip - he wants to please - so he just says yes to everything - or I ask my brother tomorrow and then says yes - hilarious
Drinks prices are slightly higher than outside - just like any resort I guess - but there is a taverna right next door - and the view from the beach acrooss the road to Turkey is stunning
As recommended on here we went to mike's Taverna, Mummy cooking and lazy river on Lambi beach - all are very different and we thoroughly enjoyed all 3 so thanks to everyone on here that replied to me prior to our trip
We had a very enjoyable day on a boat trip to 3 islands - cannot remember the name of the boat at Kos town harbour but it had 2 waterslides hanging from top deck that you get to zoom down when you reach an island
Kalymnos wasa lovely island and would like to spend more time there
Would thoroughly recommend the boat trip as captain is very entertaining and easy going.
the hotel was only approx 70% occupied so sunbeds round the pool were always free - which was a massive plus
We hired bikes for the first 4 days and it was very easy to get around as it is so flat - and it's fun because it seems it is the favoured menthod of transport for most people
One last thing to mention is the animation/entertainment team of Adam and Abi - they were very very funny all week
We would without hesitation thoroughly recommend Pelagos

Stayed at Pelagos last week of October in one bedroom appartment on B & B basis. The complex is very clean and well presented, pool is great with plenty of sun loungers and shallow area for small children. The appartment itself was comfortable and cleaned daily.
Food was good standard and plenty of it served buffet style.
Facilities limited as end of season, so no kids activities or evening entertainment. Small park, tennis court, gym and internet room.
Disappointed that hotel didn't provide any alternative to lack of advertised organised childrens activities. Luckily weather was good so they could play by pool.
Would definitely recommend Pelagos as on the whole a very good experience, but not very good at end of Oct. Everything closing or already closed down both at hotel and in surrounding areas. Also had Greek Bank Holiday and local taxi strike which made getting about more difficult.

We stayed at the Pelagos the last 2 weeks in September,I agree with most of the reviews and we were lucy enough to have a studio with a view of the beach and Turkey,I have to disagree with the advice regarding the suitability for the disabled, I am a wheelchair user but can walk short distances with a stick, there are no ground floor rooms as requested on booking but I only had to climb 5 small steps to the room also as requested, it was near all amienates, we even went to Kos town on the bus, wheelchair and all, the buses are equiped for this, you dont even have to fold it up!
As regards the sun beds, there were a lot of Germans there and we were worried about the said beds, no problem, maybe its the time of year you go.
If anyone with a disability is thinking about this hotel, give it a try but request on booking may I suggest 113 114(ours) 115 116.
I cannot fault the staff, Bill of course,Katrina Sophia(great for a long chat) the housekeepers(sheets changed every day)

We have just returned from our stay at the Pelagos Aparthotel in Kos and we already miss it very much.
We arrived very early in the morning and we were shown to our room by the receptionist, when we woke up later that day we discovered we had an amazing view of the sea which was in walking distance of us.
Although we requested a pool side view we were much happier with having the sea view, we toke a walk over to Lambi beach and was not impressed, it needed a good clean up however we toke a trip to Paradise beach which was amazing and we would deffinately recommend this to anyone travelling to Kos.

The hotel room itself if nice, basic however our shower made a very loud screeching noise and our hair dryer broke and was fixed with some tape!! The maid was excellent, was always smilling and saying hello.

The area is a bit out of the way however there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which costs 1 Euro per person to go into Kos Town.

The food at the hotel was lovely, 12euros per person all you can eat, there were starters, mains and even desserts, yummy!
The pool is lovely but be aware that sunbeds are taken very quickly and early in the morning. Some people even toke sunbeds and didnt arrive around the pool until 4 'o' clock in the evening which is totally out of order as many beds were available at that time anyway.

Bill the barman and Katie were fantastic and lovely people aswell as the animation team who are Joseph and Jorje. They are very funny and entertaining.
The entertainment was good, I toke part in a show and my dad also toke part in a comedy show which was hillarious however watch out for one singer who was disappointingly awful (Aris.)

We will deffinately return to this hotel in the near future.

the hotel is quite nice if you get a room with a view...with a balcony this is; however if you get a room at sub basement level is very dark and dingy with only a small window. We got one of these rooms and could not get moved until 4 days into the week. Everyone who got these rooms was complaining. These rooms you do not see in any brochures. When we got moved 'up' it was much nicer...athough the air conditioning did not work properly; hotel management compensated us with a free dinner but the Thomson rep was useless; did not help at all.
If you get a good room, your experience will be qutie different. The hotel is located across the street from the beach and it is not crowded. It is conveniently located a short bus ride from Kos town
Would definitely go again but get it in writing that you will not have a sub basement room...not nice at all!!!

We stayed at pelagos in May last year,& found it so perfect that we are going again in July next year.
The rooms are spacious, cool & very clean. Plenty of space for all your stuff & room enough to have a bit of your own space if you want it.
The facilities at pelagos are brilliant. The pool is lovely,& its great to have a bar & snack bar on location too.
We ate in the reasturant several times,& although it was help yourself buffet style fare,it was really very, very good, & fab value for money.
OK,so breakfast can get a little 'samey' but the evening meals were always different & the themed evenings are especially good.
Nice to get a daliy bulletin under your door, telling you what is happening at the Pelagos every day too!

The staff are great. We once had to call reception at 2am as there were some screeching girls in the apartment below us,keeping us & the children awake.it was all dealt with very quickly & with little fuss.
Bill the barman is brilliant,as is the resturant manager Katerina,& the animation gys Chucky & George. The all made the holiday for us.

Any niggles - well, the bed was hard but they gave us a toper for the mattress which solved that!

We stayed in the Pelagos hotel for 2 weeks bed/breakfast an it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in.The hotel was spotless and the food great with a good variety. The staff were brilliant especially BILL the bar man who couldn't do enough for you an always had a smile an a joke for you.The only complaint we had was having to get up at 6.45 every morning to get a sunbed an even then there was alot of sunbeds reserved. We ate in a couple of places in the lambi area an found a great place to eat called THE GRANADA the food was delicious and prices was good too.The owners were great people an couldn't do enough for you.If you're staying in the lambi area give THE GRANADA a try you won't be disappointed I can promise you.
