This was our first trip to greece, so didnt quite know what to expect. However, as soon as we got to the Alice Springs Hotel we were made to feel extremely welcome by George and Barbara, and George even went and cooked me some food at 11.45pm, no bother what so ever!

The pool and garden area are lovely, always a sunbed free, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn to get one! Killer the Dog even guarded my sunbed a few times haha!
The hotel atmosphere is really lovely and friendly, with many people we met who come back every year.Ellias and George also like to play pranks on you now and again, so a sense of humour is needed!

The Lamb and steak night are a MUST! George cooks the best lamb i have EVER tasted, and is very reasonably priced! The Alice Springs breakfasts are also lovely! On tuesday nights the hotel also do a chinese night where they order in whatever you want and can sit and watch a movie while you eat!

Rooms are cleaned daily, with clean towels and sheets provided, something which you definately do not get at big all inclusive hotels. The girls do a fantastic job, and you do not get woken up early for them to clean the room, which we loved as we like a lye in!

We want to thank George, Barbara and Ellias for a fantasic stay. Best holiday we have had, and will most DEFINATELY be back again next year! x

From now on i will always check trip advisor because most of the comments about Alice Springs were spot on. George, Barbara and Ilios truely understand the meaning of customer service and how to make you feel welcome. We went as a large family with varying ages and we were all instantly made to feel welcome. It is true that George is a bit of a joker but he is genuine and there to make sure you are happy. The hotel is comfortable, cleaned and fresh towels everyday. The breakfasts are lovely 6.50euros but you will find that is average for the area. The themed nights are ok - we only did the barbeque which was lovely but again 14.50euros - we didn't do the lamb night but people did say it was nice but sadly again expensive for what you got. Drinks are expensive 4euros for a pint of lager and 1.90euros for a can of pop but again this is typical for the area - expensive. There is a supermarket with everything you'll need 2mins left out of the hotel. The walk to the beach not very pretty because of old run down buildings (Gypsys have gone) takes 3min right out of the hotel then walk along the beach into Kos town another 15min - the harbour is then another 10min. There are plenty of places to eat for all tastes - even a Mcdonalds! There are plenty of shops around the harbour and the ruins are either free or 3euros to see. The beach is very pebbly and once in can go deep quickly - rubber shoes are a must. The sunbeds are either 2euros or free the futher into town you go - simply because there are so many. All in all a nice holiday with only the thing to spoil it - food and drinks are expensive - take plenty of money.

What can we say ..... this is our 4th time back to Alice Springs and we arrived back last Wednesday and by Thursday morning we had booked our next years holiday!!! Thank you George, Barbara and Elias for always making our holdiays memorable. The personal touch of getting to know everyone is great and you are made to feel welcome from the very start whether you are returning to the hotel or are completely new. The hotel is spotless - I have never stayed anywhere where your bed linen and towels are changed every day. The girls work extremeley hard in ensuring your rooms are spotless every day. George can be a bit mischevious but it is always in good humour and Barbara is just a pure diamond! I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Thank you George, Barbara, Elias and all the staff at the Alice Springs Hotel for another fabulous holiday. See you next year!!

Have just returned from a weeks stay at The Alice Springs (4 males aged 28-30) and I have to say I was very impressed.

I have holidayed and worked in Greece before and this is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. George, Barbara, Elias & Killer (the dog!) are all fantastic hosts and very personal with each of their guests (First name terms, get to know your background etc). The location is excellent - 100m from the beach, 30m to nearest supermarket, less than 1km to Kos Town "Bar Strip".

If you want a fantastic meal, go and see Joseph at "The Old River Taverna". The food is outstanding, it is set right on the beach, the prices are very reasonable and he is an absolute character. If you eat there, they will also reserve sunbeds for you free of charge on the condition you buy a drink or 2.

Kos Town bar strip was very good, though there were not many English there, the majority being from Sweden, Norway, Holland & Italy - we still had several good nights out there though!

Overall, a cracking holiday and would not hesitate to return! Thank You Kos!

Came back on wednesday.. am so fed up! Take me back now!
We wanted a relaxing break and got everything we wanted...and more! George, Barbara and Elias run a fantastic hotel. The banter is great.... just what we love! The rooms are spotless as is the rest of the hotel. The pool is a welcome relief to the heat! There is a quiet area at the back with loads of sunbeds .. there is always one available so need to get up early and reserve one! The beach is only 2 mins walk away. There are lots of bars/restaurants in the area with Kos Town being about 20 min walk.
The kleftico night at the hotel should not be missed.. amazingly tender. The steak nite is also another fab nite. But my favourite lunchtime dish has to be the ceasar salad......i think you will be hard pushed to find a better one anywhere in the world!

If you enjoy fish try the restaurant in Kos Town "Nick the Fisherman".. absolutely wonderful.

All in all definitely a great place for a relaxing holiday.. with the odd bit of humour!

Thank you George, Barbara and Elias for a fantastic stay!.. xxxx

This hotel is excellent, the owners are so friendly and kind and helpful. This is definitely the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. The owners George and Barbara make you feel at home and make sure your stay is a good one. The BBQ that George does is a must and will probably be the biggest set of Ribs you ever see on you plate. We would like to thank them for a fantastic stay, and on a personal note I would like to thank George for your help with the matter with our BAG in which after a battle we got resolved.
