Kos Aktis Art Hotel

One of the few hotel that made me say "Are you kidding me?" A minimalistic design hotel, which is something high ranking in my preferences, views to die for and a very cosy breakfast place. By far, one of the best hotel in the Aegean.

Room Tip: 301 to 308 have seaview (The same stands for other floors)

Truely great hotel, wonderful location, lovely rooms, good food, great service.
Away from the hustle and bustle of (very) busy Kos town, but only a 5 minute stroll to the centre. What do you need more?

Room Tip: best rooms are on top floor. First floor is just above the (noisy) terrace which might be annoying i...

There is nothing you won't like at Aktis. All the rooms have the best view in the world; the sea which spreads outside the glass windows. The hotel is minimal but very tasteful, with attention to detail, everything is working in the rooms, the service is impeccable, breakfast is 5-star, and the H2O restaurant is the best place to have dinner in town. I can't wait to go back!

We've just returned from the most amazing honeymoon in Kos. We stayed at Kos atkis which really added to the pleasure of the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was on the 3rd floor. Itwas immaculate and comfortable. The views were breathtaking, especially in the morning. We would really recommend sleeping with the blinds open to see the sun rise and the patio door open so you can hear the sea. Breakfast in the morning was buffet and had a good variety of hot and cold food. The restaurant at night was lively and the food was well presented (and good portion sizes). Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: All rooms face the sea and have a balcony.

hotel/staff(99.5%!) are excellent, food good, if a little pricey & not so good on Sundays !
as restaurant is open to non-residents & is open late, there is quite a bit of noise until late but ear-plugs from the pharmacy next door were a great help !
unfortrunately, the piped music, especially at breakfast time was too loud & inappropriate to the venue !
but, all in all, about 7.5 from 10

Arrived late at night. Male receptionist was totally miserable! I asked him it he was unhappy and he said he was just tired - it was 11.45pm! Didn't help with luggage gave us our room cards and told us which floor we were on. We had requested a top floor room and we were not disappointed. It was really nice, very trendy with a great bathroom. The hairdrier was awful so I suggest you take your own. The usual decent toiletries bathrobes, slippers, mini bar, tea and coffee plus a flat screen tv. In the morning on opening the electric blind the wonderful glass front balcony gives the impression that you could almost touch the sea, amazing! The breakfast was good but a bit disjointed. Coffee could be served at your table but if you wanted to make your own there were sachets of coffee and a jug of hot water on one side of the restaurant whilst the cold milk was on the other. Too many tables near the buffet consequently if you had one of these tables people were always standing behind you making toast, coffee ect. People were always asking to have cups or bowls restocked, I asked several times for a well done fried egg and never managed to get one yet! On the plus side you could eat outside on the deck overlooking the sea. There is no pool in the hotel but there are two small shingle beaches nearby. Two beds and an umbrella €5. I would advise anyone going there to get a pair of beach shoes as the sea is full of stones and not easy to walk on barefoot. We did not have lunch or dinner in the restaurant but it did look good typical fast food, burgers stefado ect. We did eat in a beautiful place call Stadium just accross the road and maybe 5 mins walk really good food and wonderful service in beautiful surroundings. The meals we had there averaged €50 including wine. Worth a try. We enjoyed the Kos Aktis hotel it is in a brilliant location for Kos Town and the veiws out to sea Turkey and the ports are stunning. A few of the staff could learn to smile a bit more and be a little more friendly. All in all a good place to get some September sunshine, 30deg most days. I would use this hotel again.

Room Tip: High Floor Best for Views
