Diamond Boutique Hotel
Ranked #45 of 48 Hotels in Kos Town

Our girls holiday to Kos was incredible and the diamond apartments was the perfect place to stay! The pool was always spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly. There was a large selection of food and drink available at the bar which came in handy when we were too tired to cook.
The hotel is a fifteen minute walk or two minute taxi drive from bar street which is the main party strip in Kos Town. There is a supermarket five minutes walk away and many restaurants close by.
The apartment itself was smaller than expected and although the main double bed was very comfy, the two sofa beds were most definitely not - we took turns as to who slept on them to avoid any back injuries! If you wanted air con you also have to purchase it for five euro a day which is not stated anywhere on the website. The last negative point is that the kitchen supplies in the apartment were poor, we were eating cereal out if mugs...
Overall the Diamond Apartments was the perfect place for us to relax during the day and then walk to the strip at night.

We were in Diamonds app in july 2014 staying first for 1 week and then decided to stay for one more:) we loved it all so much we felt like at home. a lot of green area around, great and clean rooms with lot of air and brightness so we did not even need A/C, a great children area for our son to play, swimming pool lovely almost like we are in some tropical island, near the city center, rentals for bikes and car, shopping center so we could also prepare our own food:) great and thank you Diamonds app

Room Tip: they are all great but for us was the best the ones ground floor

We stayed for ten days early June and had a great time. The king size bed was really comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily. Staff were polite and friendly, but not intrusive. The swimming pool was lovely, clean, nice and chilled. Thank you Mary and Sakis. We will be returning.

Diamond Apartments is an average hotel with both ups and downs.

The good things first: The pool area is great, clean and with plenty of comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas. We arrived in the early morning hours, to a board with a welcome and a message that stated our room number and that the key was in the room. The area is fairly quiet, no traffic but the usual farm animals making some noise in the early hours. The grounds are nice, a beautiful garden with palm trees and flowers. The distance to town and beach is about a twenty minute walk (taxi 6 euros). The bike rental is just down the road, and a mini market is a 3 minute walk away.

The cleanliness, however, is terrible. As the apartment has a fridge and mini kitchen, you have to do your own dishes, which is fine, but we did expect the cleaning services would include an actual cleaning. Most days it looked like all they did was make the bed and empty the trash. We complained several times, as the bathroom floor and shower hadn't been cleaned, no surfaces were cleaned, and the terrace had not been swept. Perhaps it's too much to ask that the cleaning staff glance around the white walls to see if anything sticks out, such as dead mosquitos we had smashed against them... They did notice my bodylotion covered hand print and the dead mosquito on the mirror, so maybe that's their limit.

The manager did once make the excuse that she had fired 3-4 staff a few days earlier, and that the new ones perhaps hadn't quite gotten what they were supposed to do, but following that with "I'm not here in the mornings so I can't manage them" doesn't really work.

Also, our shower kept spilling all the water on the floor, and we had to use towels to stop it from entering our room. The manager, as it turned out, was well aware of the flooding in the bathroom, but the extra bath mats we requested disappeared on day two, and when we had to use towels they were not replaced as they only change them every other day. Oh, and the large dishes we brought to our room with pizza from the bar were not removed, they expected us to bring them back ourselves, as they did with anything you had at the pool area.

We also found it very annoying that the extra sheet we got, as we are friends and don't share, disappeared on day two along with the extra bath mats.

This could have been a great hotel, but unfortunately, because of the ridiculous and disgusting lack of cleaning, this is not a hotel to be recommended.

The rooms are dirty I had to go out and by cleaning supplies before I could even begin to unpack. The surrounding areas are filthy the whole place is poorly lit on an evening, could even be considered dangerous when you can't see where you are going. Pointless talking to staff as there communication skills leave a lot to be desired. it's a real shame as this little place has great potential but I would not risk wasting my money in trying it again.

Just returned from a lovely week in Kos , staying at the Diamond Apartments.
The Apartments were superb, very clean and comfortable and the hosts Sakis and Mary (doll) were everything we expected and more.
The grounds of the apartments are just beautiful and the pool area is amazing, just like the pics.
Great for a relaxing break.
Thanks again Sakis and Mary for a great holiday.
Georgie and Rose, (yum,yum)
PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sakis
