Spent a lovely few days here. although I had a car I went on days out by train (station 1km easy walking). This was a lucky dip stop but paid dividends, staff were attentive and the rooms were clean, we will go back again.

stayed here for 2 Nights on a business trip to this area.
This hotel is located on a nice square in the center of the town.
Very nice modern clean room and bathroom.
All the equipment worked well in the room (TV Internet etc)
The Breakfast was the standard fare of chesses and Hams etc.
The room rate was also very good.

I visited a few local restaurants in the area and in general I was very surprised.
I had assumed that this would just be yet another stop on along road trip.
I may return as a tourist next time.

This hotel was great!!! We were travelling through Italy on our First Wedding anniversary and loved this hotel. It was small but so romantic and accomodating. It was right accross a castle and i felt i was back in the 16th century. The train station was nearby and the train to Venice was less then an hour for aobut 3Euros. It was great. We loved it. It was a small community village sort of thing. Very cozy and friendly.

During our visit in Castelfranco Veneto, my family stayed at the Best Western, Hotel Albergo Roma. This hotel is top notch. The staff are very friendly, happily taking and delivering messages from all of our relatives who were leaving messages for us. The hotel is very clean, centrally located, and overlooking the main piazza of Castelfranco, right outside the historic old walls - lovely. Located in the lobby are 2 internet enabled computers for hotel guest use, 24 hours a day. The very reasonable rates, include the hotels buffet breakfast which is second to none. Each morning a variety of fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit juices, fruit, eggs, bread, and sliced cheeses, salami, ham and mortadella are prepared by a friendly dining room staff. This hotel was a perfect mix of the conveniences one comes to expect from large chain hotels, combined with the quaint feel of staying in a small northern Italian city.

Castelfranco Veneto is a small historic town, built where two Roman roads crossed and now the crossroads of the railway lines from Venice to Trento and Treviso to Padova. This makes it an ideal base for exploring the region. A ten minute walk to the station and and a €7, 45 minute train ride takes you to Venice's St Lucia station and the water buses all over the city. At the end of the day the train takes you back to the leafy quiet of tourist free historic Castelfranco.

The Albergo Roma is a modern hotel overlooking the old city wall and the market square. It caters mainly for businessmen visiting the many small industries that abound in the region, a regular and demanding clientele. It's not particularly atmospheric but reception is friendly and very helpful, rooms are clean and well appointed and there is a good continental breakfast buffet. Get the corner mini suite 318 if you can. There is a closed car park at the rear of the hotel.

The restaurant linked to the hotel is more than competent but Castelfranco has about six other excellent ones within a few minutes walk. The relaxed Galleone Oro, almost opposite does some of the best pizzas we have had and the Alla Mura, literally in the city walls is also recommended for lunch or dinner, weather permitting al fresco.
