I was very impressed with the re-furbished rooms and the friendliness of the staff.
However, after a full English breakfast which was really good, the tea and coffee and the toast facilities were removed on the stroke of nine o clock. As we were on holiday, we would all have liked a more leisurely approach to breakfast. I’m sure those unfortunate guests who came in at ten to nine to be told tea/coffee and toast only would have appreciated a warning as to the cut off point for cooked breakfasts!
The stairs to our rooms were a little difficult and there was no real attempt to be disabled friendly.
Having said that, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the shower very efficient. The beds were comfortable and the soft furnishings were lovely. I would stay here again but would hope to book more easily accessible rooms and would be very aware that I needed to start breakfast early if I wanted more than one cup of tea!More
