Good thing we were already in Kalibo visiting other places because had we just came there for this we would've been disappointed! The name is a little misleading..we didn't know that this was mainly a hotel so when we got here we were a little but surprised. Granted they host more than just rooms, they have a museum filled with more "Precious Moments" figurines than I've ever seen which was neat seeing as that was the theme of this place. So if you collect those this is definitely the place for you! The pool was ok and even if you weren't staying there you could pay to swim there. But the water was very warm and pretty cloudy. Not sure how often it is maintained. They also have a nice reception hall which is very large and accommodating. Yolanda hit this place pretty bad so some of the destruction was apparent and not yet fixed or reconstructed. The children's play area with the train was not working and looked pretty bad and rusted.
The worst part of it all was there were ZERO sampugita flowers there which was the whole reason for going there! Those are my favorite flowers and there were none even on the whole property!!!! Like I mentioned earlier, we thought they would have actual "gardens" of them but we were sorely mistaken! We asked someone who worked there where they were but he said they were only at the front gate, but upon further questioning after not finding any we were told they had been cut down?!! I highly doubt we will visit this place again.

This resort is actually in the municipality of New Washington, around 10 kilometers from Kalibo. The accommodation in the new building is much better than those in the old ones, although the rooms in the old cottages are more spacious than in the new. The Christmas house does not fail to elicit a smile for any visitor, going inside to see the dolls is another adventure. We were also able to visit the old house of the owners, that has been turned into a museum, several antique furnitures were a sight to behold. The view of the sea at the back of the resort is very relaxing.

15 to 30 minutes from Kalibo International Airport. There is an entrance fee for visitors but entrance is free during Mondays. (Lucky for us!) Upon entering the compound, you will be greeted with angels lining up on the road. More angels and statutes are found in the garden. Kids will definitely love the place. There is a house inside dedicated for Christmas decorations. Unfortunately, the christmas museum on the second floor of the house was closed when we went there. There is also a hotel and large pool inside the compound. The place doesn't look so good when we went there as it was somewhat damaged by typhoon Yolanda.

I just drop in Kalibo to take a glimpse in of Sampaguita Gardens. It was a 15 minute ride in a jeepney. As I enter the doll house, can help myself but get amazed by the various doll collections bringing out the child in me. As it was just the time after the typhoon Yolanda, the other attractions are damaged by the typhoon. The other buildings are off to visitors because it is under restoration. I will visit it again the next time when we go to Boracay in summer, to view the whole place again...
