The Stelvio Hotel Staff
We had a lovely corner room with view of the two streets and mountain beyond. There were 3 of us and we all were pleased with the accommodation. Only suggestion is that the bathroom could do with a few towel rails for the bath towels!
Good Hotel except for the extreme street noise which starts around 4 a.m. It is an intersection with cars and trucks. The hotel itself is great: good desk staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Wish I had read how noisy it is. I always request a quiet room, and mentioned it upon arrival. The front desk told me this was quiet. Good hotel, just be sure that you get a quiet room if they have them. We were on floor 5 on the street.
I was concerned about struggling to find this place, but it wasn't a problem.
I was concerned about the quality about the place being seemingly so cheap (I had been in switzerland), and that certainly wasn't a problem.
A warm welcome from the hosts when I arrived sent me to a 2nd top floor room with window looking over the old town. The Stelvio road was busy outside constantly but that didn't cause me a problem (maybe from being so high above?) the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well provided although not being used to Bidets it did take me a couple of seconds to identify the purpose of one set of towels. (toilet paper is also provided so don't worry!)
I wandered town to get tea so don't know what meals are like, but the breakfast buffet was as good as I found.
Small room but general standard for Europe. Looked like there were bigger rooms and balconies but our room was fine.
Our room and bathroom was very clean and tidy of a high standard. Very basic but we had everything we needed.
Good location, convieniantly located. 5 - 10 minute walk to station. We only stayed a night but everyone was very nice and helpful.
We had a room with view of river through town and mountains that faced road. We ended up having an early night and didnt have any issues with noise.
Would stay here again.
It was a real pleasure to have you with us .... Thank you for your friendship and sympathy. Hope to see you another time.
So glad we picked this hotel - excellent experience from start to finish! We walked in off the street to enquire about a room and were greeted by the friendly owner, who also introduced us to his wife. The room rate is very reasonable and you get an immaculately kept bedroom and bathroom - ours had super views over the mountains and river. Wow! Sadly, as we had an early train to catch we didn't get to experience breakfast, but as we departed we saw it being set up and it looked good! We were almost tempted to stay another night - fell in love with both the hotel and the town itself (the old town is a photographer's paradise!). Can't wait to go back . . .
We really thanks for your opinion and we hope to have an opportunity to show how interesting is Tirano's History, and the gorgeus dish of Pizzoccheri, with them you test flavour of the past.
And finally drink a good wine looking at the mountains in our small garden outside the hotel.
