the hotel was beautiful! the rooms were clean and modern. the only thing that would have made it better was if the carpet didnt look so old. the decoration was very traditional and adorable. another weird thing was that the only outlet i found was the one in the bathroom. other than that the restaurant was amazing, the breakfast was awesome, and the staff was friendly.

This is a great hotel, away from the hussle and bussle of the Salzburg city center yet just a short bus ride away. The stop is right across the street, half a block down. Plus, you have easy freeway access to venture off to explore the the other attractions in the area (and secure parking). The Ice Caves are a must as well as the nearby Hohenwerfen castle (and bird show) in Werfen. Right down the street from the hotel is the Hellbrunn Palace with it's trick fountains and the zoo which is cute. Both are with-in walking distance.

The rooms vary in size but all are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good too. Sends you off on your adventures the right way.

Room Tip: The back top corner above the pool has decks on both sides and a canapy bed. I have heard the rooms in the newer building above the breakfast room are larger than the main area.

My husband and I have stayed here twice in connection with the Salzburg Easter Festival. So do many Austrians as we observe every year. This is beautifully run, attractively decorated hotel with spacious and comfortable guest rooms. The breakfast buffet in a bright delightful room near the pool is copious and delicious. The underground garage is so clean you feel like you could eat off the floors. If you don't have a car the bus into Salzburg is right outside the door and couldn't be more convenient. This is an extremely pleasant and comfortable place to stay with a very good dining room. We will be returning next year.

I go here twice a year with my husband and we always feel welcome, it has a lovely atmosphere. But you need to book in the new garden house to really enjoy it. The meals are lovely and the breakfast buffet is to die for, you almost dont want to eat dinner the night before to enjoy even more breakfast. If you like cocktails dont order there, lovely bar but cocktails need alot of work.

The hotel is situated about 2 kms outside of Salzburg, in a beautiful small village. I hate noise and I think you might unfortunately be able to hear traffic from the main building. However we were in the garden building and that was OK. The room itself was very large, beautiful bathroom and a walk in wardrobe bigger than some people's box rooms.
Breakfasts were lovely, prosecco and smoked salmon , lots of fresh fruit, cereals, breads, meats, eggs, cooked breafasts etc. Spoiled for choice in fact.
The bus 25 stops outside the hotel and is every 20 minutes, arriving in Salzburg 15 minutes later. You can also walk into salzburg which we did one day by a super footpath. The hotel is also within walking distance of Hellbrun palace and the zoo (the latter being very animal friendly, you can even go into an area where monkeys can jump on you.)

The hotel's swimming pool was pleasantly heated and I enjoyed swimming in it , looking at the snowcapped hills in the distance.
Overall we would very much recommend this hotel. There was however one negative and that goes for everywhere in Austria. Smoking is allowed everywhere and boy do the Austrians smoke! It meant we didn't use the hotel bar as much as we would have wanted to. At least the breakfast room was no smoking. But that apart we would heartily recommend this hotel.
