I discovered this little restaurant hidden in a narrow street of the village of Mouans-Sartoux already 5 or 6 years ago (as far as I can remember).
Being originated from South-East of France (now leaving in the Netherlands), I may state that the cooking and recipes there are really authentic (this reminds me the recipes of my grand ma to certain extend).
Other the time, I went in Sylvie’s restaurant for several occasions both for personal and professional ones. This was always a success and with all my colleagues and suppliers, we were always delighted from the food but also the likable and cheerful atmosphere. (Even when organizing a dinner for 25 persons while giving notice at noon for the evening !)
Finally, I do believe that choosing biological products from local producers and sticking to high standards with respect to the authenticity of the recipes and the way to receive customers is a winning strategy. Please keep moving on the same orbit (or trajectory) ;-)

We chose to go there for dinner based on the high reviews and appreciation of this place on TA. A warm and pleasant setting, felt like visiting a friend, just ignored the horror music played at maximum volume by a neighbor from time to time. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful, however, nothing stood out as being really special, and generally everything lacked any intensity of flavor. The vegetables were bland.. I hoped that maybe the dessert would be a better success, but this was not the case. The apricot tart was burnt, watery and it shouldn't have been on the menu. The keen anticipation that we had was dashed to the ground by what we were served, though the service was friendly and helpful.

From the mismatched crockery and glasses, to the cumquat digestif, to the authentic menu, everything about this restaurant makes it something special! Everything is freshly made and home cooked by the lady who runs the restaurant.
The food was delicious and the wine list well thought out, all from local produce or vineyards.
Very important to call to reserve as she doesn't open if no bookings on certain days and we finally got to go after 2 years of trying but well worth it!
Even though she is on her own, the service was quick and she is very chatty and welcoming.

We discovered this gem through trip advisor. We arrived to the quiet location. Eclectic tables were set outside. We were met with a special collection of dishes. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally, each with its own quaint story. Bring some time and enjoy the evening!
