We stayed at this hotel in November for the MotoGP in Valencia. Well worth staying further away from Valencia ( hotels too expensive there) as it is a lovely hotel situated right on the beach. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel for the same reason. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but well worth paying a bit extra for the rooms looking straight at the sea. This year our room had a new flat screen TV and new aircon/heating unit......although not needed. Easy to walk along the beach to the town with restaurants and shops. Very Spanish and quiet resort. Highly recommended

Room Tip: Highly Recommend rooms facing the sea!

We were visiting Valencia but could not get a room during the Grand Prix weekend. I found this hotel about 30 km south of Valencia that boasts an ocean view room at half the price of Valencia. The room has been updated since it was built in the 1960's but sparsely decorated. What this hotel offers is a hotel right on the beach! Because it is in a more residential area, it is like having your own private beach without the tourists. I didn't want to leave! If you are here to chill out on the beach without the hassle of crowds and tourists, you may want to consider this property as an alternative.

Picked this hotel for a 3 day break on the beach in the middle of a motorcycle tour of Spain, mainly based on Tripadvisor reviews. Hotel Sicania is located on the beach, and although originally built on its own amongst olive groves it is now dwarfed by apartment blocks (mostly empty when we visited in June).

From the moment we walked in the door the service was excellent, with the offer of free secure parking for our motorcycles (a first!!), even though there is off road parking available.

This is definitely not a new hotel but a fantastically well maintained example of a 1970s hotel, operated in a non ironic fashion by a staff of genuinely distinguished gentlemen, most with many decades of service in the hotel. They operate with a quiet efficiency, a smile and no aloofness.

We had a sea view room with commanding views of the bay from the balcony, it also had aircon, TV and free Wifi.

Cullera is a Spanish resort and despite being surrounded by high rise apartment blocks the beach was empty in June (the hotel provides complimentary beach deckchairs). We also had the pool to ourselves most days.

The buffet dinner and breakfast is good value and there are lots of restaurants in walking distance, but some still not open in June.

In summary, the hotel can be likened to Joan Collins in that it can still put on a good show at 60+ years old even though it may have been at its best in the 1970s

Room Tip: Choose a sea view.

We have visited Cullera for decades and had a good stays at Sinania except one time which was an early season for them (right after reopening of the hotel in April and things were not smooth)!

Room Tip: Recommend ocean view and breakfast which has great view (270 degree dinning room)!

Staff rightfully so prides themselves on service. Great view, decor dated mediteranian but overall no complaints. Private beach for those with families this would be a terrific choice. We were there a bit off season which suited our needs just fine. Castle in town restored is worth a visit and we managed to time a medival market in the old town.

Room Tip: Anything facing the sea is a sure winner.

The hotel is a bit older; but very clean and well maintained.
We had a sea view room on the corner and the views were endless! This was a perfect room location (#201).
The staff did not speak much english; but using our smart phone to translate and a little patience it all worked out.
The staff did everything to make our stay wonderfull.
The hotel has a main dining room with an extensive menu.
The breakfest prices were very high compared to what you received.
There is a patio bar and resturant that opens at 10:30 and is the best.
The beautiful Irish woman who runs it is the best and the food was outstanding with great selections of appitizers, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
It is perfect if you are laying on the beach and want a snack or a full meal.
They have ice cream along with several iced drinks and coffees.
You can't go wrong eating on the patio...stop and ask for "Sam" she is very helpful and can give you hints of some hidden gems to see in the area.
The hotel is located at the end of a boardwalk/walk way that you can follow along into the heart of the town for shopping, dining, or just a nice stroll. Along the way are resturants and even cabana bars on the sand.
There is a little tour train that you can take around to several stops and to the castle. Seeing the castle is a must! You can see the castle on the hill from most rooms at the hotel.
The hotel pool was also nice along with the beach area.
There is a local train you can take to Valencia for the day and is worth it.
We actually extended our days at the hotel instead of going to Barcelona.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room.

The hotel is a small 1960s/70s block situated right on the beach at Cullera. Being an older hotel, it could probably do with a major facelift.. However, our new air conditioning unit and flatscreen TV worked perfectly and although the rooms were very basic, the staff kept them clean. It is strongly recommended that you pay the supplement for a sea view.
The reception staff do speak some English, though they are a little older than average and therefore sometimes appear reluctant to use it. However, they were always helpful. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The location makes up for any shortcomings and Cullera is a lovely, peaceful Spanish resort
