I was recommended to come here by my friends who come here every year for many years, and now I know why. The landscape is breathtaking, the hotel is run my a lovely family who make the place feel cosy, the service is personalised and professional, and the food is absolutely fantastic. We hiked for 3 days in the area, and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The bonus of hiking in May is to see all the snow patches and the early short-lasting spring flowers along the paths.
What a special place to have a holiday, whether for a long weekend or for a longer break!

We have spent a splendid long weekend at this lovely little hotel that is absolutely professionally run by the owners and their small and very friendly team. Its been the third time for us, always in winter.
The kitchen is excellent and serves absolute great dinners after the long day's skiing or hiking. There is a skibus service taking you to and from the slopes should you wish to lay down your car keys and you can also get your gear dried and stored for you by the hotel. Also we got our skipasses at the hotel that makes life just easy.
We have been there 5 of us - with 3 little kids (4,6,7) and I can only recommend the place for travelers with kids! We are not the most silent group of people for sure, still there were only smiles on the faces of the owner couple (husband and wife) whenever they came to greet us at the breakfast and dinner. And they did each day! This also deserves an extra point!
Thea were also very helpful suggesting places of interest - even excellent spot for astrophotography for me!
The restaurant area is equipped with all you need to have a relaxed time with kids. Also lots of toys for the little ones - should they finish enjoying the food earlier then you would.
Gosau area is really charming so we definitely will go back for the summer and check out the donkey ride with the kids and the woods by bike. Or just to lay back and drive up the top of the mountain by the panorama jet.

Room Tip: Just say what you prefer and be sure you will get the best! We have been there 3 times always in dif...

During the summer 2012 we discovered this lovely family run small special hotel. We have been to Gosau a few times before but never checked this house. The house was built in the late 19th century and has always been updated to the latest standards.

As Christmas present we decided this year not to buy food, cook, wash dishes, cleanup but to enjoy the days. Had the family on the 22nd and we stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute with the family Koller!

Christmas Eve the Koller's celebrated with the guests: Accordion music (the chef is an expert player), Manuella read some charming Christmas stories and encouraged all to join in singing Christmas songs. A fantastic 5 course dinner followed.

The public rooms were decorated, a Christmas tree but the huge, hand carved creche is a master piece!

Room, food and all the staff were perfect and ... who does not enjoy the hostess and the charming waitresses in authentic dirndl costumes?

We already put down our name for this coming Christmas. That says it all...

Wonderful family run hotel in an 1850's chateau. The location is superb with a magnificent view of the Dachsteiner portion of the Alps. Isolated in a quiet village assures guests of a peaceful stay. The food was haute cuisine and the service was excellent. The owners and staff spoke excellent English and were very attentive to all details of your stay. The owners were extremely freindly and outright jolly with guests. The room was well appointed and the balcony/terrase provided a view to die for. Value for money at this location and we recommend this as a must stay if you are in the region.

Not much to add to the other reviews- mrs. Killer was very helpful with additional hotel advice and sightseeing. They speak great English and the service was great! Definitely recommend- note that almost all of salzkammergut is a bit more expensive- this place is actually worth it:)

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable, small hotel that is located in a beautiful setting. It is charmingly traditional and extremely well maintained by owners who are engaging, efficient, helpful, obviously proud of their hotel and dedicated to ensuring their guests enjoy their stay. Our room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, very clean, and had an absolutely fantastic view of both the lovely grounds and the distant rugged mountains. The dining room was very pleasant and the quality and presentation of the meals was great; vastly exceeding expectations for a hotel this size. The service, we were served by the owners, was great. On sunny days, especially afternoons, the pool area was very pleasant. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip and highly recommend this as one of our favorite country hotels.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the pool. Ours was on the 3rd floor and was spacious, with great views.

Landhaus Koller is a nice family hotel. It has beautiful scenery in quiet surroundings. When the sun is shining, it is highly recommended to sit outside by the pool, with views on the Gosaukamm mountain, it really is breathtaking.

Breakfast and dinner is excellent and plentiful. They have an extensive winelist and we suggest to try at least a couple of the Austrian ones, they are worth a try. From 15-17 there is even a free buffet with cakes and tea.

We stayed in the Haus Krieglrieth, junior suite kalmberg, which is a short distance from the main building and literally next to the swimming pool. The suite was well sized and very comfortable.
The owners, walking around in their lederhosen and dirndl, are very friendly and knowledgeable.

The area is great too: wonderful alpine nature and walks, quaint towns such as Bad Ischl and Hallstatt and in general not overly touristy.

All in all, a very nice location to stay for a relaxing vacation with all the luxury and comfort you'd want in a holiday.
