just returned back from the pefkos beach hotel, we arrived in the early hours after a night flight to be greeted by andy a very nice man on reception and was checked in very promptly, we were in room 415 and found it to be very nice clean and comfortable, after a good nights sleep we had our first view off our balcony and what a view fabulous. the complex itself is brilliant two main pools and two kiddie pools and a nice little play area for the little ones. they have a really good pool bar with snacks all day and a main restaurant nostalgia in the evening exellent food, also they have the palm court cocktail bar, the long island ice tea a must, the staff here are really freindly and helpfull, the location is good with bars and tavernas all close by, the beach a 5 min stroll across the road.is really good nice and sandy, down on the beach front the lee beachbar is good for a snack and cold beer, the best restaurants we found were the roumeli 4 afacing the pefkos beach hotel a good choice set meals for 7.90 euros exellent food, and the taj mahal indian down near the eclipse nightclub very good also, the zig zag garden bar is good value for drinks well worth a visit, all in all pefkos is a nice chill out place for all ages. we did a couple of trips one into lindos the parthenon well worth a look 6 euros entrance and nice quaint little allyways with shops and tavernas great, and we did the lazy day cruise 48 euros but well worth it, john the thomson rep was great , i think the only downside we found was the cost for air con at 55 euros for the week and 35 euros to keep you room on for 6hours exessive.

Room Tip: choose a top floor and sea view for late evening sunshine

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week staying at the Pefkos Beach Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We arrived just before midnight and received a warm welcome before making our way to our room (417 on top/3rd floor) which overlooked the biggest of 4 swimming pools. We were plesantly surprised by the size and standard of the room and very pleased with how clean it was. It had everything we needed for a weeks self catering holiday. The kitchen area had a fridge, toaster, kettles and two rings for cooking. There were also plenty of utensils to cook with. The hotel is like a mini complex with the hotel rooms, the Palm Cocktail bar, Nostalgia Restaurant and Mingos supermarket which were all owned by the family. Staff throughout all of these areas went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and appeared to take a genuine interest in your needs. The location of the hotel couldnt be any better. It is in the centre of where all the restaurants/bars are (without any noise issues) and there are some great selections although we choose to eat Greek food every night. I could recommend Nostalgia, Enigma, Georges Taverna, Philosophia and (highly) recommend Dama Dama who cook the best Beef Stifado I have ever tasted. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away and although small it was never crowded. The water was beautiful, clear and warm.
There are so many places in the world I want to visit that there are not many I would return to, however I will definitely be returning here and would highly recommend it to any friends or family.

We (2 adults, 1 teen) stayed at the Pefkos Beach for 1 week (Aug 15-22, 2012) . We were allocated a studio room in block 5 which was adjacent to the top pool area. Room was spacious and very clean. Room had a bedroom area which could be seperated from the rest of the room via sliding doors which was a good idea when you have a teenager in the family!!
Living/kitchen area had a double sofa bed, fridge, 2 electric rings, kettle, toaster & a couple of cupboard units. Very little room to prepare food etc. They state there is enough room to prepare light snacks, this is true if your opening a packet of crisps!!!!! Personally i thinks its a way of getting people to use the hotels facilities for all meals, but they must appreciate its a self catering hotel so please allow people to self cater with more than light snacks. The room is so spacious an area that it only requires a breakfast bar or table & chairs that would make it perfect. Bathroom excellent. Outside area quite spacious, quiet and a nice place to sit and relax.
3 excellent pools and not once did we fail to get sun beds & that was almost always after 10am or even later. Its so refreshing not to feel pressurized into taking part in early morning sunbed scramble.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was superb, our room was cleaned daily with towels & linen changed every other (if requested towels wld be changed daily). Our cleaner was amazing, each day she wld leave her own little touch; either flowers, petals in shapes on the bed etc, my wife's pj's were even arranged into pretty shapes. This kind of service is so appreciated.
All hotel staff (each & every one) were extremely friendly and helpful creating a wonderful holiday experience.
Beer o'clock in the shaded area under the tree near the pool bar was so fantastic. Relax & Sipp your favourite tipple as you watch the sun go down...happy days
Pool bar - Good with sports channels and excellent staff
Palm cocktail bar - Provides free wi fi, essential for any teenager who could go cold turkey without facebook or twiiter!!! again lovely staff who let you sit and relax and get your drinks or food. Only had 1 snack there on our final day which was fine.
Nostalgia Restaurant - High quality food with an amazing sunset view.
Pefkos - Quiet, not alot of entertainment but there are some places that have singers etc. The beaches are narrow but v.nice with 2 sunbeds (with umbrella) at 8euros. Umbrella is a must its soo soo hot.
On the subject of temperature, air con at the hotel is extra at 55 Euros. I would suggest its essential.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pefkos Beach Hotel as it provided exactly what we wanted, a quiet relaxing holiday with excellent provisions.
Would we return?...Yes
Would we recommend it.....Yes

Lovely family run hotel/restaurant complex.
Staff very friendly and helpfull
Food great value with good choice
Nice swimming pools/facilities
Great for families/Couples/Kids
Great facilities
Nice rooms
Good location close to supermarket and cash point ( both next door )
100%

Room Tip: Rooms are available around the pool area ( pool closes at around 6-6.30pm each evening so its quiet ) others are up a slight hill which can be accessed by a small cable car if you cannot be bothered to walk up ! Our room was in one of the building around the pool and it was very nice.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in Aug, 2 adults & 1 child 10, first time in Pefkos. Hotel was really nice, staff were great and maid service great. We stayed in the hillside studios which were average sized. It was virtually impossible to make anything other than a sandwich in the apartment, no microwave and the plugs for the kettle just above the sink! We usually got a sunbed without the drama of rushing down at the crack of dawn with towels that a lot of guests did. The pool bar was expensive for breakfast, usually the price of our evening meal!
In Pefkos itself we found it quite boring, as non drinkers we found that it quite limiting as how to entertain the kids. There was no entertainment in hotel and nothing for the tween age group in Pefkos. We did do the mini golf which was good and the Rhodes town night trip which I would recommend.
The area and hotel did seem good for couples, families with young children or teenagers
