Returned yesterday, travelled as a family of 3, and were not disappointed overall with the holiday. The rooms are of a decent size, and very clean, the pools are immaculate and the grounds the same. We stayed in block D with a partial sea view which was very nice, and away from any noise from the shows. As the Lindia Thalassa is part of a group we only used the pool connected with our apartments once, and found it to be a little noisy for our taste, so used the pool at the Island Blu instead, which was fabulous !! We found the food at the Elia restaurant and Almyra pool bar at the Island Blu to be really lovely, in fact it was far nicer than the food served at the pool bar at the Lindia Thalassa, yet it is the same chain of hotels?! The only thing we found lacking, and this is a personal choice, is that as it is part of a chain of hotels and not family run, it lacks the friendly atmosphere found in smaller, family run hotels. But, as I say, this is down to personal choice. The beach is closeby down a few steps and the sea is just gorgeous!! I feel that I need to mention the staff who work here, as they do a fabulous job and every one of them deserves recognition.

Room Tip: block A has the sea views

This resort is great, it is tucked away at the far end of Pefkos so it is lovely and quiet and has its own access to the beach. We arrived about 1am local time and the place was quiet as a mouse and the gentleman on the desk very helpful. We stayed in C315 and had 2 partial sea views which was a lovely surprise in the morning. Rooms were lovely and clean and beds on the firm side. We had a double and a single. Towels changed if you wanted daily apart from Sunday. The complimentary toiletries were large enough for one day so you will need to take your own.

Pool was clean and of a decent enough size to cool down in. We did feel that the cost of air con was a bit high (at 90 euros for 10 days or 10 euros a day) but the rooms were fairly cool so we chanced it and were just about comfortable though any warmer and you would need it. We also used a safe deposit in room which was 35 euros though to be fair it felt really safe.

The room has 2 small rings, a wind up toaster and kettle, we decided to have salad in room with boiled pots and cold meat and was perfectly adequate and there was enough crockery etc.

We went to the Greek night which was great entertainment though food was a little disappointing as they had to cater for high numbers. We spoke to a lovely couple who had eaten there on a normal evening and was superb. They remembered about my wife allergy to olives and olive oil and prepared a meal seperately but added olives to the top which was disappointing

The supermarket has pretty much everything you could need though beware that suncream much more expensive over there for a decent high factor so try to take enough.

My wife has an allergy and we had notified them in advance and as soon as we checked in the receptionist (Maria knew exactly about it and had spoken to the chefs at the main restaurant) which was impressive.

The only real negative thing we noted was one night we had an earlyish night (1030 ish) and was just dropping off when the Lady Gaga tribute started and it was VERY loud and I found it impossible to get to sleep until she had finished at 1am (all the other acts were not so loud)

Helpful tip, if you walk to the main strip the normal route is up the small hill and back down but we found it easier to head to beach and walk along and it was more gentle.

Overall great value for money

Room Tip: The further away from the pool the better the view, blocks C, B and A seem to have the best as they...

Admittedly we were slightly worried on the long journey from the Airport (approx one hour) to the resort as we really didn’t know where we were going to end up (far point of the island as it turns out). However our worries were laid to rest on arriving, as we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and a spotless Resort. We got a room in Block A (205) with a lovely view of the sea. The apartment was basic but spotless with comfortable enough beds. The highlight was we were literally 60 steps away from the beach and about another 60 steps to the pool in the other direction. The Beach is small but literally on your doorstep with the warm sea coming right up to the sun beds. It was never to packed and there was no charge for sun beds but I don't know if this is normally the case. The water was clear, clear, clear and just marvellous and so healing. The resort has a choice of 4 pools to use and all are lovely – none were too busy and there was always free sun beds. The main strip is about a 10 minute walk away up hill. We travelled into Lardos one night and ate out in Valantinas restaurant which was fantastic and another night we travelled into Lindos, the taxi ride was 10 euro each way. The one and only fault we could pick out if we had to, was the price of Air Conditioning which was 60 euro for one room and double that for two rooms in the apartment. We thought this was a bit much. We also didn't like the constant music played at all the bar pools, but that was just us, others probably love that. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing holiday with plenty of swimming and just chilling this place is ideal. If looking for mad night life or major shopping ...avoid, this is not the place.

Room Tip: The A Block is near the entrance to the Beach and the front apartments has views of the Beach.

E-mailed before we went and asked for a quiet room with a sunny balcony and we got room B209 on the second floor which had a lovely view looking right along the path to the beach and the balcony had sun from 1000 to around 1900. If you stayed on the top floor guess you would sun for a little longer. Would have been disappointed with a lot of the lower floors as they have very little privacy and a lot of them are in the shade for a good portion of the day. Apartments were well equipped , basic TV but at least you got English channels for free, Kitchen had kettle, toaster and toastie maker but no microwave. Hairdryer in the bathroom and complimentary toileterys. The whole complex was immaculatley clean , with maid service every day except sunday. Towels could be changed each day if you left them beneath the bathroom basin. We stayed in a studio which consisted of a large double bed (which was in fact two firm single mattresses) so loads of room and a single bed.Bar served the usual kind of fare and was to the usual standard . Entertainment was a bit thin on the ground and centred mainly on Elia bar in the main hotel but maybe this was because it was early in the season and also during the World Cup where the main focus was showing the games. The apartments have their own steps directly onto a thin strip on sand that connects to the beach.Used to cut along the beach at night to get to some of the bars further down but if the tide was in it involved a bit of wave dodging - if you didn't want to do this you could either walk round via the road or use the steps to the beach at the excellent restaurant Philosophia. Lots of choice in Pefkos to eat and drink without it being too busy, there's also some restaurants if you turn right at the main road away from the town , Anixis definately worth a visit. Try the glass bottom boat trip to Lindos - not your run of the mill boat trip , very entertaiining !! All in all an excellent holiday would stay here again.

Room Tip: Block A sea views , Block B next nearest to sea, Blocks D and E border the bar and pool area not the...

Perfect base for a family. 10 mins walk from from everything you could wish for. Rooms are just that, rooms so don't expect to be lounging about watching TV. Why would you anyway with the lovely beach a stone's throw away. If you like hard beds then this may just give it 5 out of 5, personally I welcomed my bed when returned for a comfortable nights sleep.

We have just come back from a relaxing week in Pefkos at these lovely apartments. The room was clean and spacious with a very wide bed and tasteful decor. The location is great - quiet, but only about 5 minutes walk from a sandy beach and about 10 minutes walk to the main street with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room email before you go and they'll try to accommodate you in a room in one...
