Stayed here for two weeks with our young family. Children aged 11, 4 and 1.. now where to begin...
The apartment was huge even with 5 of us! A brilliant walk in wardrobe. Very comfortable double bed (and pillows) never found anywhere with good pillows apart from here and a massive terrace outside with a view of the sea.

The cleaners were so friendly and always said hello with a big smile on there face.

The food was so reasonably priced we ate lunch there most day by the pool. It was also delicious and had a great variety with traditional greek food and good old english classics.

The bar men- both Yiannis and Antonios were brilliant, putting our childrens drinks in the fridge that they hadnt finished so they were there the next time we went down to the pool. We didnt even have to ask them they just did it! Even Marcel the new barmaid was so friendly especially with the children. All our children loved them all!

Reception. Welk what can i say. I may aswell have hired Michelle and Anthoula as my personal assistants! They were just fab. We were getting married while we were over there and the help they gave me was just brilliant. They couldnt do enough for you and were always happy to help.

We ordered food from the online shop before we arrived and it was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. while we were over there we could also order shopping that would be sent straight to out room from their main supermarket in pefkos!

I have honestly never stayed anywhere with such helpful friendly people.

The walk into pefkos for us was perfect.. we dont like to be right in the centre of all the hustle and bustle, so an evening stroll into the centre for us was just fine.

The pool area was lovely. Sunbeds were comfortable and the music?? Perfect. I dont understand how anybody could say it was too loud.. on all night. It was very relaxing and added to the lovely chilled atmosphere that is pefkos village resort.

Thankyou to all the brilliant staff at this wonderful hotel. We hope to see you alk again soon!

The Collers.

My partner and I stayed here for two weeks. The overall experience was lovely. People are friendly and it is incredibly quiet and relaxing. We have been to Rhodes many times and this was our first stay here.

Positives- relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, up to date modern big rooms, food was freshly made and a good variety for lunch snacks, close to a small secluded beach. You get to know everyone which is nice. The BBQ was gorgeous lots of variation and you get a lot for what you pay I would definitely advise having a BBQ here. :)

Things for them to work on- TIDY UP THE POOL AREA!! it looks visually clean but they don't clean behind the beds in the sheltered areas. The same crisp packed stuffed with a bottle stayed there the same amount of time we did. And the swimming pool needs to be cleaned which we didn't see them doing once. There was something floating in there... Ew.
Ants in the room! Annoying. Air con was £160 for two weeks? Really! This is because we had two units not that we wanted or needed two. Drinks are way overpriced! I'd advise going to the shop up the hill and buying drink as the kappa berg cost us 9 euro for two in the bar and they are 1.80 in the shop! Last little niggle is the location, if your happy to sit in the hotel for the entire time than it's fine, but going out every night for food is a pain. It's 30degrees and the hills like Everest. 20 minute walk to the strip isnt fun every night.

Overall really enjoyed the stay here! Not sure we will be returning though.... Kelly and Paul x

Dear GibbinsPaul,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your review.

Firstly, we are pleased to hear that your overall experience of Pefkos Village Resort was lovely. It is great that you enjoyed our BBQ night and made use of our snack bar/restaurant.

Wherever you go in the world, bar/hotel prices are always more expensive than products that you would purchase in the local supermarket and our Air Conditioning prices are the cheapest in the Pefkos/Lindos area.

We can only apologise that you found our pool area not to be up to standard and this will be addressed. We can assure you that the pool is cleaned each day and is done during late evening/early morning when the pool is closed.

We do hope that we have the chance to welcome you back in the future.

Kind Regards

We enjoyed our stay here, firstly the points that we considered positive:
The Hotel is located on the edge of Pefkos: about a 10-15min walk into the village (we didn’t find the hill too steep but didn’t have to climb it in the summer heat), so the location was nice and quiet. The nearest beach is a 10min walk away, the sand was ideal for sandcastles and the sea was fairly shallow. There were loungers and umbrellas to hire for €8/day from the Kavos Taverna above. Our apartment (202) was a good size and had a shaded terrace rather than a balcony. The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed. (We were Half Board). The rooms were clean but not spotless. Small supermarkets close by at top of short hill.
The pool was a good size, ideal for children and there was plenty of shade and loungers. We found the food to be of a good standard, freshly made and a there was a reasonable variety seeing that the restaurant was only small. All the staff we found to be very friendly and helpful.
On the negative side; Breakfast (not Buffet so was bit limited), was served from 9.00am but if you are half board it finishes at 12.00 not 2.00pm. so we ended up missing out when we went out on our excursions. The beds where a bit on the hard side too.
Other info: the Safe deposit box was about €10, the local bus was easy to catch to Lindos and the local companies in Pefkos offered excursions much cheaper than the Thomsons ones. We went to Rhodes with Impress Holidays and found it good value. Finally take hand soap as the resort doesn’t provide a complimentary one. Overall we really liked Pefkos Village Resort and would go back but we were disappointed with Pefkos itself as it consisted of a main street full of restaurants and supermarkets, very few small gift shops and no village square/ promenade to walk along in the evening.

Just had a lovely fortnight in Pefkos, staying at this hotel. Room was HUGE. Bedroom had large walk in closet and more hangers than you could count. The lounge dining area was big too. The kitchen was equipped with a hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. Whilst there were only two of us - had their been four ( as I believe the accommodation would actually sleep) you'd not be under each others feet. Our patio area was spacious, shaded and fairly secluded too - lovely place to sit out at any time of the day.

You should be aware that the hotel is situated at the far eastern end of Pefkos, so the main restaurants are a 15-20 minute walk - BUT - three of the best restaurants we found are right on your doorstep (Anexis (Nice food, very affordable), Nicolas (More 'upmarket' and expensive) & Kovos (Also 'upmarket', best views we found)) so we tended not to walk down into the town to eat.

There is also a short cut to the main beach - if you're prepared to get your feet wet, but I'll let you discover that for yourself. There are also two smaller beaches much closer - ideal for swimming, less so for sunbathing, (One is so small you couldn't lay out on the sand - but, as a result, you'll often have the place to yourselves)

So, what are the niggles I hear you ask ?

Well, I've now learnt that Rhodes, Pefkos and this hotel are home to colonies of feral cats. We actually had a small family living in the bushes outside our room, and in the first week, they clearly felt they should be living IN our room !! ( Suspect the previous occupants had fed them). By the second week, they'd got the message and we saw a lot less of them. So your experience of the cats will depend on who was in your room the week before. Of course, if you take a room on the upper floor, you probably won't have this niggle. But if your not keen on cats I think it's only fair you're forewarned - and I wasn't. (And if you're thinking 'how cute, I'd love that' - have a google and read what a problem the feral cats are when the tourist season is over - please feel cute responsibly !!)

I also have to mention under "niggles" the music played at the bar. Maybe this is less of a niggle and more of a gripe. And my gripe is simple - the music seldom changed. On more than one occasion we had Bob Marley tracks played - literally - all day. If you go to the bar, where the staff can hardly actually hear the music, they will happily change it - but they're not proactively selecting different music throughout the day.

Also, the selection is sometimes a little strange, on our last day, there was a playlist cycling round that included the "here comes the bride", "Happy Birthday", "For he's a jolly good fella" and a variety of WW2 sing-a-long songs. Amusing, initially we thought someone had pressed the wrong button somewhere, but by the 2nd or 3rd time round, the fun diminishes. This is a shame, because, I've stayed at other places where the bar music has really added to the holiday, here, I'm afraid it detracted.

And finally...

I have to mention the AC. As I said, we had a large room/apartment. And it came with TWO AC Units. You can't pay for just the one in the bedroom, you have to pay for both. When we booked, the booking site says simply "AC Payable locally". What they don't tell you is it's 13Euros per night. So for 14 Nights - that's a lot of Euros and if you've not budgeted for it, it's gonna put a dent in your spending money. Unfortunately, there is only a fly screen on the window in the bathroom, so if you want to keep out the cats and the small biting bugs, you'll be sleeping with the windows closed - and in June/July, this was very uncomfortable.

Having said all this, the staff were all friendly and helpful and I would stay here again - just I'd make sure I could afford AC next time - or - at the very least request a room on the upper floor. (I'm hatching a plan to travel with net curtain and microporous tape next time - so as to create a DIY Flyscreen !! )

But - to end on a more positive note....

On your last day, not only can you take a late check out ( for a small charge) BUT they also have a proper shower room near the pool and will lend you a towel, so you can shower and change after a day in the pool before the coach picks you up. How cool is that - a really nice touch.

And I can't finish without giving a shout out to Anthea the cleaner who was always cheerful and happy to work around our late mornings. καλημέρα Anthea

Dear StayAwayEr,

Many thanks for taking the time out to post such a detailed review.

We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and you found your accommodation to be spacious and well equipped.

Please note that there are notices around the hotel asking guests not to feed the cats as there are local feeding stations and our air conditioning is within the usual rates for the Pefkos/Lindos area.

We do try and play various music to meet all tastes. Your comments will be taken on board and we will review the playlist.

We will pass on your regards to Anthitsa (housekeeping) and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

Kindest Regards

We were very happy to stay in the Pefkos Village Resort. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful views, walk to the beach takes ten minutes. Studio apartment was spacious and fully equipped, also recommended for couples with children. Very nice and friendly atmosphere. Close to shops and restaurants. If someone wants to take a break from the big city we would definitely recommend city and beautiful hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here at Pefkos Village, staff very friendly and accommodating. But annoying about having to pay for a/con, but think a lot of places do this now. Food very good, location fine with some decent restaurants nearby by, and of course many more to choose from if you walk 15 mins into Pefkos. We booked as part of a package, room including lounge and kitchen area, which were clean and of a good standard. Entrance of the hotel could be worked on a bit, as it doesn't give the hotel the impression it deserves.

My family (two adults and two children aged 8 and 4) stayed for a week at the end of May. This was our 7th stay at Pefkos Village and it does just get better and better. This year we would could order our groceries online before we arrived, to be in our room on arrival. Brilliant service and very easy to use. As usual the staff were brilliant and as lovely as ever. Michelle, Marianthi, Antonis, Yiannis, the cleaners can not do enough for you. Mrs Pallas herself, whose family own the hotel makes you feel part of the family. It truly has become our home from home.

The are plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the pool and area around it is always kept clean and tidy. There are two pool, a small paddling one for children and the main pool. The pool bar is great, run by the absolutely lovely Yiannis with quick and efficient service. The food both day and night is cooked by the wonderful Marianthi, you must try her menu at night, sublime - she makes the best cheesecake. The bar in the evening is taken over by Antonis, everybody's friend! The man is a star. And of course that leaves Michelle who runs reception in the day, she is an absolute star.

We stayed in 214 again, which has a view of the pool, the restaurant and bar and the sea. It is a one bedroom apartment which sleeps four. Really spacious with a big balcony. Comfy beds, plenty of storage space, safe, hair dryer and bathroom with a bath and shower over ahead. Kitchen is well equipped if you do want to eat in, but there are so many wonderful tavernas in Pefkos (and of course Marianthi's cooking) that you won't need to. Also try BBQ night - great!

The hotel is about 15 minute walk into Pefkos itself, this is a lovely walk and there's plenty of tavernas and nice bars on the way if you want to break up the journey. If you don't feel energetic whoever is behind reception will order you a taxi, whether it be into Pefkos itself, or Lardos or Lindos, there is so much choice.

We are back in August for two weeks and it really can't come soon enough!
