Where do I start. Told me I had no room left me sitting in reception from midnight to 9am. Dirty room when I did get one. Food was disgusting. Rude unhelpful staff. I wouldn't go back uf it was free, worst hotel ever stayed in

just returned from a week in this hotel everyone was bitten to hell.Food , where do I start disgusting I wouldn't feed it to my dogs even there dog wouldn't eat it.Snacks well if u want dried bread no butter or anything with stale ham and cheese you are in luck as that's all u will get we asked if they would toast these for us make it more edible they refused even though there was a toasting machine in full view at the bar.Meals upstairs not much better pretty non descript other than pig swill will say the bread was nice.Entertainment did not exist in description it states Greek nite and a barbecue and lol a nightclub only entertainment was smarmy barman who kept running out of drinks and as pleasant as Hannibal lector.Rooms on arrival were double booked the room we did receive would not lock on the inside and balcony was the same young lad behind bar was pleasant must say owner Barbera was like a shrieking banshee how anyone could work for her is beyond me.All in all loved Rhodes met some great locals but I would seriously book another hotel

Room Tip: read reviews book another hotel.

When we arrived @ 1 50 am Monday morning they had no room available for us, they said that they were full up due to having weddings parties booked in.
They said that we can stay at another hotel very close by for the rest of the night, we reluctantly agreed as were very tied at this point. we were told to return in the morning and hopefully a room would become available.
When we returned at 9 0/c there was still no room available and was told nothing was available until the Tuesday, We went had a breakfast at the hotel returned to reception where a new person was trying to sort us a room, at this point a couple came down with there suit cases so I insisted we have there room. by time this was cleaned we manage to get into our room at 3pm, that day. Not a good start.
The hotel was very clean and attractive, good pool area nice large pool plenty of sun beds. The bar was very good, alcoholic drinks available from 12 mid day to mid night which was good.
The food was as we expected very average not a great choice, we found the lunches were better than the evening food.
Our room was ok clean towels and beds made every day, plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly and did try help when required, Kristos behind the bar was good always remembered your drink every time you went to the bar.
Shame they were over booking a lot where the Brits were concerned, there were plenty of Russians staying there they didn't seem to have any room trouble?
Not sure if we would return to the hotel.
Essex couple

Room Tip: bar area in center of complex if close to bar the music goes on until the last person goes to bed.

I've read the bad reviews and thought I know people like to winge, so I thought I still book it. When we arrived we were 6 hours late due to strike in France. Between the 7 of us we had booked 4 rooms. One room was available but we had to wait till next day for our rooms it was terrible. I spoke to a lot of people there said the same.there's no entertainment, day or night or snacks through the day. It's a shame cause the hotel could be nice the management are just greedy.

We stayed 2 wks on all inclusive in may/june for the money it cost us we were going to use the hotel as a base camp and eat out as it was our 3rd time in pefkos....the hotel was lovely and greek with a lovely courtyard in front of the bar a good place for people to mingle, which we did ,there was a good mixture of nationalities which we both enjoyed. The staff were very helpful and friendly, Kristos the barman was funny and always kept the drinks flowing even after midnight, he really did work hard and George the young barman was quieter but always had a smile for you and so polite. Barbara the owner always greeted you with "hello my darling" and was always dishing out the hot food at lunch and dinner and always telling you to come back for seconds. The food was tasty and always a choice of at least 4 hot dishes with various veg on offer, the cold buffet was adequate to. We did eat out most nights, but, for what we paid we were more than happy to have breakfast and a nice lunch or dinner on several days of our stay. Value for money comparing it to self catering. Yes Barbara did yell at the staff sometimes, she likes to run a tight ship I think, The dog did bark to greet the guests, nothing more, that's what I seen. The hotel also had a lovely little church at the end of the bar area, it was beautiful inside and we lit a few candles and left a small donation for charity, it was a really nice touch. I would recommend this hotel for those travelling on a budget far outways self catering .don't listen to the bad reviews try it out yourself.

just returned from pefkos gardens on arrival like the couple we met from newcastle ,there was no room for us and another couple who we met at check in .we got put in a car with a random stranger who took us to another hotel/hostel our room looked out onto a dried up sess pit thankfully we only spent 1 night there.we finally got our room at dinner time the next day but had to take our cases by the pool until then.the food wasn,t the best no variety,if you like tea take your own tea bags.
the infamous dog only woke us once he is only a pup
the rooms were cleaned every day but it was a bonus if you got fresh towels.
the brochure said 200 metres from the beach more like 500 metres and 100 steps to walk down.
other than that we met a nice couple and had a good 6 days holiday.
I WOULDN,T HAVE A BAD WORD SAID ABOUT THE PLACE LOL.

Room Tip: we had a high level sea view room it was quieter .

The brochure photos of this hotel would indicate a quiet and relaxing holiday, however our experience of this place was the complete opposite. We were a party of three couples and a single friend, when we arrived at four thirty in the morning there was only 1 room available, 2 couples and our single friend had to sleep in the reception area as we were told the rooms would be ready at 9am (there seemed little point in taking them up on the offer of moving to another hotel for the night - which we later found out was a hostel). We then waited until 7.30pm until all in our party finally had a room !
The Hotel owner - Barbara - was an extremely loud individual who could be heard all over the Hotel, her attitude to staff members was an absolute disgrace, it was embarrassing to have to sit during meal times and listen to her wailing at the staff, (not to mention her dog barking all hours of the night). The reception staff weren't any better, just shrugged every thing off as _ these things happen, They were completely unhelpful and uncooperative.
To advertise this Hotel as all inclusive is a joke, There was next to no variation at meal times what so ever, they didn't even have a toaster available at breakfast, and the only snacks available were ice cream or ham and cheese sandwich EVERY DAY ! My personal opinion is that every meal was put together on the cheapest possible budget which couldn't have possibly catered for the may nationalities who were staying hear.
When we finally had the sweet release of leaving this place we couldn't even have a late check out (7 of us) and had to sit from 12 midday until 7.30pm for our pick up !! (Thank you to the Brits we met from Devon who stored our suite cases and allowed us to use their shower before we left.
Loved the island - HATED the hotel, it pains me to think people work and save all year round and look forward to their summer break only to end up in this hovel. If you are traveling on a budget this is not the place for you unless you are prepared to diet throughout your holidays, fortunately we were lucky enough to be in a position to eat out.

Room Tip: Try another hotel
