“Good food directly at the harbour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

In October we have stayed to Saint Florent for one week. During this time we had every eveining dinner in another restaurant. We have also visited the Restaurant Le César. The food was good. The service was friendly. They don't have a lot of seats and tables inside.

“one out of three rated it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2013

After quite a lot of searching chose this restaurant because it was recommended for moules frites and we had a real yen for some. We had three different sorts - mariniere, with cream and one with saffron. At 11-12.50 euros each not great value but it is the going rate here. It came with 3 small rolls, and the chips were freshly made. Service ok - but it was nearing the end of the lunch serving and the waitress was clearly looking forward to shutting up. The only diner to rate his meal had the creamed version. The saffron was ok but the moules were a bit dry. The liquid with the mariniere was so salty as to be inedible. When we pointed this out to the waitress she said she would be sure to tell the night chef this - but that was as far as it went! The house rose was pretty poor.

Nice selection of good value, freshly prepared dishes. Friendly staff. Great location by the harbour with views to the hills beyond.
