Aroha Mountain Lodge

Greg and Linda are lovely and generous hosts, and made my first night in New Zealand so special. The place is beautifully situated next to the mineral springs, and the room was comfy-cozy with everything little thing I needed. I was sad to leave Te Aroha!

Stayed for a night in this charming cottage. You have to remember its a cottage so there are wooden floors with gaps, brick TV (OMG) and rustic charm.

If you can put up with out of date technology and items not working correctly then this is the place for you. O.K stay but a few maintenance issues to be addressed by the owner would make this cottage value for money.

Central location and handy to all in Te Aroha township but is need of a sparkle to justify the night stay rate.

We spent the past weekend with friends at Aroha Mountain Lodge and found it as friendly and relaxing as ever. Greg and Linda are wonderful hosts, the place is very inviting and next door to hot pools and spa. It was our fourth trip to Aroha Mountain Lodge. That says it all. All of the friends we've taken love it too.

Room Tip: If it's a family group the house is perfect. Other wise the rooms all with ensuites are quiet...

The lodge location is perfect, just next to the mineral baths and spa. The gardens are lovely with beautiful roses to welcome you when you park. We had two rooms in the main lodge, one with an ensuite shower and the other using the bathroom off the hall. Since there was no one in the third room, we had the place to ourselves. Definitely has charm and character. The kitchen is well stocked and available at any time.

We had a three day trip to Te Aroha and stayed at the Mountain Lodge. We were in the cottage across the driveway and it was just right for our stay. The room was larger than the rooms in the lodge itself and that suited us just fine fora longer stay. We had some special requirements and our host Greg sorted every thing out just fine. Very family friendly, would stay again.

Mrs C surprised me with a stay at the lodge for a night, great location and comfortable rooms, but could get a little cool in winter as some accommodation in historic house, but has great charm and is quiet. Another reason to visit the hot pools next door!
