Beautifully located in the heart of the historic town of Te Aroha very close to the magnificently restored volcanic hot water Victorian Spa and fabulous bush walks. Rooms are very clean and exceptionally well serviced. Very friendly and helpful owners are a pleasure to stay with

Room Tip: Rooms with separate bedrooms only have single beds. Lovers beware!!

Real and genuine Kiwi atmosphere and service at it's best. Different members of our family have stayed at this motel numerous times of the last 2 years, and we all just love it. Christine and Arnie are just perfect hoteliers - they are warm and friendly and really care about their guests. Sue who assists in the day-to-day property management is an absolutely delightful lady, and Ginger, the security cat, keeps a friendly yet attentive eye over all 'comings and goings' at the motel.
If you want real Kiwi hospitality, against the backdrop of a beautiful mountain that generates the most stunning air, in a wonderful township...then this is the place to go - without doubt.

Room Tip: Suites facing the mountain are a little quieter at night, however, rooms facing the road get more vi...

Very helpful people at Te Aroha motel. Clean, well appointed units. Internet was freely available - a big plus, compared to mane places we've been in. Huge bed was comfortable. We were cycling on the Hauraki Bike Trail so it was good to have a comfortable accommodation at the end of a long day. Hot pool was great too, and good food at the hotel over the road.

We chose this motel after reading the reviews about the friendly welcome and nice, clean units. Our unit was immaculate and did have the little extra's not always found in motel units but what amazed us most were the hosts.
My husband had an accident and had to be taken to hospital. They stepped in and took care of everything for us. I just cannot thank them enough for all the help they gave us.
They are kind people who will go out of their way to help in an emergency.

While this is a 1970's motel it has been tastefully updated with new bathroom fittings, a heat pump and flat screen TV. It had all the best parts of motels remembered from childhood holidays while still being fresh and clean. The staff were helpful and obliging including letting me take photos to use in my accommodation operations classes. They also pointed out the best spots for getting the photos I wanted. The motel is located centrally to everything and has all the little extras including the best hairdryer I have encountered at any accommodation provider!

This isn't the newest or flashest motel, but it's still great - a bit of a classic in terms of New Zealand motels. The rooms had all sorts of little extras - including peppermints, a sewing kit and a surpisingly good range of kitchen utensils if you want to arrange some food in your room. Very close to the supermarket, and the historic reserve with the wonderful hot pool complex. This is a nice small rural town, and a good spot for a stop-over. The hotel staff are friendly and will give you towels for the spa. Recommended.
