We stayed at the Coconut Beach hotel and did not realize that the beginning of boardwalk was only a short walk down the beach. We discovered this after eating at Just Grillin and deciding to walk the boardwalk home. To access the boardwalk from Just Grillin, cross the street and walk thru the lobby of the Accra Hotel. The boardwalk begins almost in front of the Accra Hotel and runs along the beach in front of several Hotels and restaurants. Blakley's is one of those eateries that you don't want to miss and is located on the boardwalk. Walking at night is safe, but the only light is from the hotels and bars or the moon. Maybe a mile long, it is worth the stroll.

Either run, jog or walk this lovely Boardwalk from the SoCo Hotel to Accra beach. It is safe night and day.

We decided to take an evening stroll along this boardwalk and were shocked to see it was pitch dark with no lights at all unless to happened to walk by one of the few restaurants. There were a number of people sitting around however there are bushes and opportunities for robberies. This is something that the government should give immediate attention .
