“Almost perfect - food out of this world”
Reviewed 11 January 2011

We stayed here, having being delayed by the snow cancellation of our flight to Gatwick, and having stayed at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion the previous week.
This was fantastic and was better in many ways than the FRP but not quite up to it in other ways ( but at much lower price than the FRP).
PLUS
1. The food was out of this world - much better than the FRP, Tides,The Beach House, Lone Star, etc
2. The staff were lovely and seemed more genuinely friendly.
3. The management were great and allowed us to check out at 6pm.
MINUS
1. Limited sun beds and very cramped area, and those that were there were "bagged" hours before they were needed - need to address this.
2. Mosquitoes - I got badly bitten. Clearly the gardens are not sprayed regularly as they should be ( I asked about this before we checked in) and mosquito coils are useless especially when there is a sign which says that there is a very sensitive smoke alarm in the bedroom!

We just returned from a blissful week at Cobbler's Cove. As others said, you are greeted warmly with a cold towel and a delicious rum punch. That high level of service continued throughout our visit - from the reception staff, the guys who take care of you at the pool and beach, bartenders and restaurant staff. Everyone was warm and gracious and helpful. Our suite overlooked the garden, which we actually preferred as it was more private. Some might not like the lack of TV or lack of airconditioning in the living room part of the suite - but we liked the fact that you could open the French doors and be outdoors and indoors at the same time and did not miss the TV (went to the TV room once). The beach and pool are small but adequate given the small size of the resort. There are lovely areas to lounge indoors and out. The food was excellent. We ended up eating at the hotel more than we thought because of the food and ambiance available right there. Fun to talk to Barker, the resident fisherman. We were two of the very few Americans - surrounding by Brits who seemed to be regular guests for long periods of time. Everything was civilized and gracious, but not in a stuffy way. We will definitely return.

Cobblers Cove is a beautiful, small, elegant resort. The food is the best we've had in the caribbean, as is the service, both in the restaurant and in general.
There is an atmosphere of quiet elegance. No blaring tvs or radios.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A small refrigerator was useful, and we loved having 2 sinks in the bathroom, which was also spacious.
The beach is small, but nice and the swimming is great-- not much surf and the water is not too cold.
To sum up: a find.

My wife and I have just returned from our third holiday at Cobblers Cove, ideally located on the West coast the hotel has a intermit feel where nothing appears to be too much to ask. All the staff at Cobblers are fantastic and the little touches of cold towels and sorbet during the hot days whilst sun bathing sets it aside from other hotels I holidayed at.
The ocean front restaurant setting is picturesque. We spent many evenings sitting by the pool side watching the sun set. The choice of both food and wine has something to offer everyone and whilst there are a number of restaurants on the island Cobblers there’s no need to venture any further.
The rooms were exceptionally spacious; we stayed in a garden facing room and this tranquil setting made it feel as instantly relaxed and at home.
If you feel daring we would recommend you try one of the Rum cocktails from the pool side.

Stayed here in early December for 5 nights. From the moment you are picked up at the airport to your departure it's all about the service at this establishment. Our driver was waiting for us at the airport and whisked us away for our 40 minute drive to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were graciously welcomed by staff, management and Randall Wilkie who is the top management person of this hotel. What a way to start.

The resort is small and intimate with many return visitors as well as multi-generational families. They were not lacking for patrons during our tenure. They are extremely well staffed and take a genuine interest in your every moment. Dining is 5 star, bar and wine choices plentiful, room service is included if you so desire and service top notch. We had an error occur on our bill the first night (we didn't even realize it was an error at the time) and upon bringing it to the front desk's attention the next day it was taken care of without any fuss. The mere mention of it was all that was needed - yes, that's great service. We found that great service throughout our stay in everything at this property.

The rooms are comfortable, well equipped, immaculately clean and there is housekeeping twice a day. You'll never run out of anything and their beach towels are divine.

If you have ever considered or are considering staying here, don't hesitate and just book it.

Just back from a week at this intimate first rate hotel. The personnel especially the dining staff were outstanding and only surpassed by the fabulous gourmet cuisine.
Located on the beach on Barbados' posh west coast sunning and swimming by the beautiful Caribbean was wonderful. Having spent last winter in Florida and Arizona the Barbados weather was absolutely great
If you are looking for an elegant, laid back, romantic (it was our 20th anniversary) week or two with wonderful people, food and accommodation Cobblers must be on your short list.
