“Dream spot in Burgunday, for both stay and eat”
Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

We discovered this beautiful place during summer 12 and decided to go back in August 13. In 12, we only had dinner there and it was so amazing we wanted to come back not only to have dinner but to spend one night as well. The house itself is lovely, located in a magnificent garden. There is small river and a bridge within the property, a romantic spot where to take nice pictures. Our bedroom was spacious, with a terrace, and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a gorgeous, small room, it feels just like having a very relaxed breakfast in the kitchen at some friend’s place. The owners themselves are there to welcome guests and serve coffee and special dishes. All products looked (and certainly were) fresh and homemade. However, the best part of the stay was certainly the dinner we had. We chose the “discovery menu” which was scrumptious from the very beginning to the last course. Everything was tasty, delicious and delicately flavoured, meat and fish perfectly cooked and prepared. We are very much looking forward to eating a third time there next time we are in Burgundy.

We thank you very much for your nice comments concerning your stay last summer in Levernois and will transmit them to our entire team.
We are happy to let you know that we continued our improvements this winter and have renovated our outside terrasse and our Bistrot du Bord de l'Eau. The main building has been painted and the outside lights have been improved.
Looking forward of having the pleasure to show you all the changes at your next stop in Hostellerie de Levernois...
Kind regards
Jean-Louis & Susanne Bottigliero and our team

We wished we had stayed longer at this lovely relais chateaux hotel instead of spending one night in downtown Beaune before coming to Levernois. The service was excellent and many thanks go to Manon and Abibou for their patience in helping us find and get settled in our suite. We loved the view of the front gardens and chose to have afternoon tea there. Our suite terrace above the grounds was perfect for breakfast. Dinner in the gourmet restaurant was truly outstanding.

We will surely return to this well run, tasteful hotel in the future. The owners were caring people and involved with their clients. We felt totally spoiled.

Room Tip: We had reserved in the pavillion wing but wanted a larger suite in the main building overlooking the...

This lovely small hotel was just perfect to break our journey from the UK to the South of France, it would have been good to spend more than one night there too. We thought probably a proper 4 or 5 day break using the Hostellerie de Levernois as a base while exploring this amazing wine region in France. Mine and my guests' de-luxe rooms were set in the Pavillion and were perfect for a relaxing stay equipped with table chairs, sofa, and plenty of surfaces, a great bathroom with shower and bath and a lovely sitting out area in the garden overlooking a beautiful huge green space. Surrounding the hotel were the most amazing gardens, some well established and some new, but all quite beautiful, and the perfect place to walk my small dog who was welcome as well. There were a couple of tennis courts too and bycycles which I presume one could hire. We arrived mid afternoon and took the opportunity to explore the surroundings and village on foot, followed by champagne in the beautiful garden setting. After we had diner in the interestingly decorated restaurant which was a very surprizing treat, everything about it was excellent, the ambience, the service, and the food, and of course the wine. Every part of our short stay was overseen by a professional and caring staff, it was a joy and we felt very welcomed and very relaxed. I am looking forward to returning soon I hope, for a few days this time and an opportunity to explore this amazing wine region.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with your dog( or not actually), ask for the Pavillion rooms as they face on t...

i have visited this place several times during the last year. This is an relaxing pearl outside Beaune in Burgundy just 5 min drive from the center. You feel like being at home every time you go there.
They also have a second small hotel just 100 meter away that is a cheaper and very good alternative. They also have a fantastic gourmet restaurant with one of the better wine lists you will find in Burgundy.

Even in winter, the beauty of the grounds and the quality of the service make this a wonderful base to explore Burgundy. Although we did not stay long enough to sample the fare at the less formal dining room, we enjoyed a really wonderful meal in the gourmet restaurant. Our room was spacious if a bit rustic, but it had all the amenities that one would expect of a Relais and Chateau property. I imagine that in warmer weather it would be truly spectacular, and it is a perfect location, tranquil, yet just outside of Beaune.

We have stayed here numerous times on our way to or from Austria during the ski season. It is one of the few hotels open early January. The restaurant is truly excellent with original cuisine and a superb wine list. A real treat. The ensuite bathroom is lovely, a decent large bath tub and a separate shower, two basins. But the newly converted bedrooms are rather too influenced by modern interior design. The two armchairs are seriously uncomfortable although they look stylish and the bedroom lighting is for affect but not practicality. There is no floor standing reading light next to or near the chairs, one has to sit on the bed to read after dark. Not ideal or comfortable.

This was our first stop in France on a week long journey from England to Gran Canaria. Upon arrival we were told that we had been upgraded free of charge which was a nice surprise. The room was beautiful, very well equipped with a large bathroom and fabulous shower. There was large bowl of fruit in the room which was a lovely touch. We had booked a meal in the restaurant which although pricey was fantastic. Breakfast the next morning was very nice, the small restaurant area where breakfast was served had a log fire lit was really welcoming. Upon checking out nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff, our car was brought to the door, luggage loaded and a lovely man held an umbrella over me until I got into the car. It was such a shame that it was pouring it down with rain as the hotel is so beautiful and I really wanted to take photos to show everyone at home how gorgeous it was.
