This accommodation offers the maximum what you can expect from B&B. Hosts are very, very kind and helpful providing guests with exceptional level of services and assistance. Beautiful pool area is perfect to relax after a day in bustling Palermo. Our next trip to Sicily will start or end definitely here.

Rather than staying in the bustle of Palermo, We spent the first of our 10 nights in Sicily here and it was such a fantastically beautiful villa and Mimma and Teodoro were so wonderful, we changed our reservations so we could spend our last night here as well. We had two different suites. Both were gorgeous, immaculate and spacious. The first had one balcony and the other had two balconies. The grounds were lush, meticulously maintained and filled with flowers, fruit trees and a magnificent pool overlooking a mountain range. I could wax poetic on the accommodations but, we were even more overwhelmed with Mimma and Teodoro's kindness and generosity and hospitality. Teodoro came to find us when we got lost finding the B&B when we first arrived. He drove us into Monreale, recommended a restaurant and arranged to pick us up to drive us back after dinner. He drove us to the bus stop so we could explore Palermo in the morning and allowed us to keep our car at the the B&B until we came back in the late afternoon after checking out. It was the best beginning and end possible. When we returned the last day, we spent the afternoon just relaxing at the pool and i only wish i could have stayed longer....It was the kind of place you could stay and never want to leave. It is a rare and precious gem!!!

Room Tip: they are all amazing and gorgeous.

This was our first stop in Sicily and what a great beginning! We rented the suite for 3 nights and were overwhelmed with the beauty of the grounds and the size of the rooms. The suite consists of three rooms - a small room when you enter with a single bed that can be closed off from the rest, a very large room with a comfortable king size bed, a desk and chair, a couch and a small table and chairs, and a large bathroom with a fantastic shower. Also there was lots of storage available. Everything was clean and well decorated. The grounds were unbelievably beautiful with a pool that unfortunately time and weather did not allow us to use it. We had a little trouble finding it at first as the GPS got confused and we missed the sign - but we found it tucked away from the main road - so a very quiet location. They also provide free parking inside their gated area and provide an automatic opener for the gate so you can come and go at will. The breakfast was good however no cereal for us cereal loving Americans! Also no eggs. There was yogurt, rolls, breads, croissants, juice, coffee, tea, some cheese and meat and some fresh fruit. Our hosts were very friendly however they spoke no English and we spoke no Italian so communication was a little dicey. We enjoyed staying there so much that we cancelled our reservation in Palermo our last night in Sicily (after a two and a half week road trip around Sicily) and were lucky enough to get the suite again! Be sure to go up to Monreale and see the cathedral with the fabulous mosaics! And I recommend that you NOT drive into Palermo - we assumed that we would find a parking garage on the outskirts of town and walk -WRONG! After driving in crazy traffic for an hour we finally did find a garage (at a reasonable price even) and left the car. Take the bus into town and save yourself a lot of headache! But, do stay at this B&B - it is a true oasis!

Room Tip: There are only three rooms and we booked the suite - certainly well worth the extra money! Don'...

... to make it such a comfortable relaxing stay, even though so close to the bustle of Palermo. I felt like part of the family and was driven into Palermo (and picked up again!) by the owners. This is service above and beyond and made me feel very privileged and made what could have been a stressful visit to Palermo effortless.

The place was spotless, the service exemplary and was most definitely the highlight of my trip around the whole of Sicily. I could not recommend highly enough.

Overall we cannot recommend this B&B well enough. Mimma and Teodoro have turned their residential villa into a wonderful 5 star B&B. The place is an oasis of tranquility yet only a few minutes away from the bustling Sicilian capital Palermo. Getting there was pretty easy as the place is well sign posted and just up the road from the Palermo ring road. We parked our car in the well secured drive which opens up into beautifully terraced gardens which surround the villa. Our room had a balcony overlooking the gardens and was very well appointed and tastefully furnished. Most importantly the room and the rest of the place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good and filling with the highlight being the fresh croissants filled with pistacchio cream which Teo got from the local bakery earlier that same morning. Having said all this, what really sets this place apart is the hosts sense of hospitality - they go out of their way to indicate the best local eateries and the must do places in Monreale and Palermo without being intrusive. Best of all is Teo's offer to drive us to Monreale and Palermo which is a real blessing as parking in both places is not easy. Cannot really think of any downsides other than the our stay lasting just 4 days!
If you are looking for accommodation in the vicinity of the cultural gems of Monreale and Paermo, this is just the ideal place.

When I planned our trip to Sicily in January this year I was surprised about the few comments about 'Al Giardino'. When we arrived at 'Al Giardino' we found the answer Mimma and Teodoro operate the B+B in their large family home only since October 2013.
The B+B is very well indicated and easy to find, when you drive up the main road from Palermo to Monreale and is ideally located to visit Palermo and Monreale.
What made our stay even more pleasant was that Teodoro was even driving us in his car to Monreale for visit and later for dinner so we did not have to care for parking and could have a nice bottle of local wine for dinner - so his name Teodoro (gift of god) made also perfect sense to us.
We were staying in the orchidea suite - an ensemble of a smaller room (with one bed) and a large room (with a king size double bed). The suite was in perfect condition and meticuously clean - as was the entire property.
Especially the garden invites to just relax and enjoy the view over Palermo at sun-set. I wish we've had some more time to just stay and relax in Monreale.
The breakfast was correct and I well remember the fresh orange juice and fresh oranges and mandarines coming from the own garden!
Many thanks to Mimma and Teodoro for such a nice start in our sicilian holiday.

I cannot say enough good things about B&B Al Giardino.

Our suite was simply great: beautifully decorated, clean and in a beautiful quiet villa surrounded by a fantastic garden.

The morning caffelatte and cappuccino were worth waking up for and the choices for breakfast were perfect (traditional biscuits, "frutta martorana", freshly baked cake and so on…).

The location was great: just a few minutes from Monreale city centre.

Having the chance to go for a swim in the pool was amazing (80°F in October)!!!

Mimma was so friendly and went out of her way to make our stay special.
To describe our stay in just one word: FANTASTIC!

Room Tip: The suite was very elegant and comfortable.
