You are not going to get 4 star luxury but you are going to get a clean room, the furnishings were not ultra modern but they were perfectly functional with towels changed daily and sheets changed every couple of days. It is worth paying extra for a sea view here as the views are wonderful. You don't have to pay for the safe or aircon if all inclusive

The food, while admittedly not a great choice and some repetition was always plentiful, hot and typically Greek. So if you don't like lots of salad, pork, fried fish, moussaka, fresh fruit etc best go elsewhere.

The staff were always helpful and polite in my experience.

If all inclusive the breakfast is 7.30 til 10, pool bar opens at 10 with local beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks. Lunch 12.30 til 2 and dinner 7 till 9.30. The bar stops serving all inclusive drinks at 11 but you can then buy drinks till about 1am

There is not much to do locally. Only a very busy road with little or no pavement. The local buses are regular and it is worth spending time in Corfu town and worth a trip to Benitses. For further afield hire a car.

The whole island has a mosquito problem so beware! I never saw a cockroach once.

The only downside is the sunbed bagging. There really isn't enough sunbeds and most beds had towels on them by 7.00am and often didn't have anyone on them till 4 in the afternoon. Some people left towels on the beds overnight.! This needs sorting...

Room Tip: It is worth paying extra for a sea view

Old aged-pensioner with not much time left had a nightmare experience whilst staying at the Alexandros Hotel. "Where do I begin!". Hotel is old and dated bedroom carpets are old, faded and stained, the beds are small and uncomfortable, towels are worn. Cockroach in Breakfast\Dining area and also one visited me on my balcony. You will rarely get a nights sleep. Usually early evening residents start slamming doors of their bedrooms. I experienced loud shouting, swearing from early evening time until 3am in the morning. I spoke with the Owner who said and I quote "this is a hotel not a hospital". I felt deeply offended at this form of verbal abuse. Holidays are supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable occasions which we look forward to. Hotel rating is about a poor 2**. Internet rating misleading people into believing it is 4**. If you want to keep your sanity do not stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Requested quite top floor room but my room was extremely noisy.

SCAM CITY/ PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL

We arrived at the hotel from a late flight on Saturday the 14 of June. I had booked two family rooms

with a sea view which I paid for. What we got was two small rooms with two tiny beds in each.

I immediately went back to the desk to complain. The night manager said that they don't have any

family rooms available. The night manager then said we have a suite available for one night.

It was not a suite it was one family room that they put two small beds in the living room area and

called it a suite (there was no separation of rooms) no privacy at all. So for four days into our

we were offered two tiny rooms with cot like beds or stay in the suite all of us and one bathroom.

On the 4th day we got a small room across the hall with no sea view. Also the suite we were given

had the smallest balcony due to it being on the corner end.

I spoke with the owner who was extremely rude and nasty, telling my wife that if she did not like the

food, leave and go to another hotel.

The food was so disgusting that my step daughter and grandson got severe diarrhea on Wednesday after eating dinner. The lunches were recycled leftovers from the night before, no snacks as was advertised. Basically the whole place was a scam, which is sad because the island itself was wonderful.

We spent the first 2 weeks of June in Alexandros AI with 2 babies.

LOCATION
Perama is a very boring place, there’s nothing much to do there. It doesn’t even have a real beach only a small concrete place in front of another hotel. You can walk to the causeway but it’s quite dangerous as there’s no pavement. You can also walk up to Akhilleon (1 hour uphill). There’s a bus stop nearby so it’s easy to get to Corfu Town. However, if there’re a lot of people on the bus already it does NOT stop so we had to wait another 1 hour and 20 minutes for the next one.

HOTEL
The airport is very close so you can hear and see loads of planes landing and taking off. We love planes so it was an added attraction, or actually, the only entertainment. The premises look nice and clean, the pool was cleaned daily. There are some toys for the wee ones but most of them are very dated and not really safe. There are only about 30 sun loungers and unfortunately people reserve them (as early as 7am!!) and go somewhere else for hours so it’s really hard to get one before 5pm. It’s a shame hotel management don’t do anything about this issue. The lifts are so small, it’s hard to squeeze a pushchair or suitcases in them.

ROOM
We had a double room with sea-view. It was in a really good condition so it must have been recently refurbished. Cleaners did very good job every day. The view was amazing, it was really worth the extra cost. The hotel provided 2 cots for the babies. Unfortunately, most days we had no hot water after 6-7pm.

ALL INCLUSIVE DRINKS&SNACKS
It was definitely NOT the best AI service we have ever had. Drinks were a bit limited and if you wanted a cocktail it cost 6.50euros. You could only have 1 drink a time. Snacks: there was a so-called snack bar in the afternoon with the leftover from breakfast: a tray with small sandwich-bites, a bit of salad and wee pieces of cake and when they were gone nobody refilled them. You could also buy some ice-cream.

FOOD
Food was really delicious but quite repetitive and there was a very limited choice. At breakfast there was a small cooked section and also the continental stuff. At the beginning they made really nice omlette, but when Russians arrived and it was getting busy they started to make awful scrambled eggs (to use less eggs and save money?). Lunch & dinner were similar (both buffet). We had potatoes/chips, pasta with some sauce, veg, 2 (sometimes 3) main courses and a salad bar. Desserts were always jelly, chocolate mousse and ice-cream. There was no kids menu and food was too spicy for them. Most of the time we had no fruit left as Russians had taken all: they took 5-10 apricots on a single plate. They don’t seem to know what queuing up means either. Anyway, we had to queue up a lot as there wasn’t enough food , containers got empty really quickly and we had to wait quite some time for getting them refilled. However, waiters only brought out small portions at a time, sometimes not even enough for the people waiting. This refilling thing was really badly organized and management seemed to be really mean with food. I could see staff were checking the plates but they never said a word to the Russians about taking so much of everything I guess.

STAFF
With the exception of a grumpy man in the restaurant, staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. We really liked the barmen (twin bros) and a young waiter guy who always had fun with our 3-year-old.

TO SUM UP, we had a lovely holiday on Corfu. This hotel was a good base as we rented a car and travelled around the island but you shouldn’t plan a beach holiday here. Management should change their mean attitude and Russians should learn how to behave and then it would be a lot better place. I think I would consider going back.

Room Tip: Pay some more for a sea-view room.

Very dissapointed. Very dated. Food very poor (what there was of it). Never write reviews but thought I should so others would not be dissapointed. All inclusive includes certain drinks but not all even the coffee if u want anything other than plain u have to pay. If you leave later in day all inclusive stops at noon and then u have to pay for everything. Don't know who is putting on good reviews but never spoke to anyone who was happy with food or drinks.

We stayed here for 7 nights all inclusive.
The rooms are needed to update, hot water is hardly ever.
The food is different story. Tasteless and always the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Improvement is a must!
The children pool is 80cm deep, not ideal for our 8months old baby.
Millions of mosquitos are everywhere!
The beach is nowhere near, unless you walk down very steep steps...
The view is very nice and the hotel staff is very helpful and lovely. There is free wifi in the lobby.
Easy to go around as bus stop is outside the hotel.
I found everything is dirty, no pavement to walk, skinny cats everywhere.
We wouldn't go back again.

Hotel is well situated with lovely views but this is it's only good point.
The hotel is badly in need of updating.
Our room was quite basic & the shower kept falling into the bath.
The water is never hot enough to shave & the food in the restaurant needs to be greatly improved.
We booked all inclusive but ate at local tavernas most evenings.
Would not consider returning there.

Room Tip: If you do stay then pay a little extra for a room overlooking the sea.
