Traveling wildly I always tray to find something extraordinary and this time I could find it - Palazzo Vescovile with it's friendly staff. The property have been tastefully and sympathetically turned into hotel not loosing its charm and authentic look.
We have stayed there for 4 days. If only I had booked for a week! Spent our 30-th wedding anniversary at this amazing hotel was romantic and personnel as well. I would highly recommend it to my friends.

We have stayed here twice while traveling between France and Italy. Noli is a lovely little beach resort. We were there in September and April, outside of the summer vacation period. The location and access to the hotel set the tone for a special experience. The staff are unusually helpful, the rooms each different and reflecting the history of the episcopal palace. As lovely as the hotel is, it is the restaurant that inspired our return. Both times we let ourselves be guided in our choices, both times we spent about 50 euros a person, including wine. The array of pre-starters, of various breads, and extra dessert, in addition to the set courses, demonstrate the virtuosity of the chef. We will go back again. The breakfast which is included is quite nice as well.

Room Tip: Both times we had rooms with lovely terraces, one facing west and the other east. They were not the...

CAVEAT: We stayed here in May, still the off-season, and our room (actually a two room suite, was only 120€ a night. We had a two level room, with unbelievable views of the Mediterranean.

A bit hard to find: Park by the gas station on theater's edge, and ale the elevator and funicular up to the hotel.

Breakfast was simple, but the baked goods were delicious. If you don't see something you want, just ask. They offered us cheese and an egg, though there was no notice that they were available.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a sea view... But, if you are a light sleeper, be warned. The "surf"...

We had our eyes on this special place but unfortunately it was fully boken when we had time to go there ( we were on a roadtrip around France and visited la cote d' Azur and would go there on our way back. We finally got to stay there one night. And we say we would absolutely go back there to stay longer. This is quality at it's best! The owners and all of the staff is so wonderful nice and calm people, you will feel so good treated. The experience all good from the whole experience down to the superb food. We will come back and stay at this wonderful house again soon!

A special and unique former monastery, this hotel seems to have been kept as much as possible as it once was. You can only access the hotel by a cliff-face lift which was a little scary but a fun entrance. The management were kind enough to offer us the choice of two rooms because we had young children. The first was on the ground floor which was a two bedroom site and the other they offered was upstairs and a mezzanine bedroom with sofa bed. The upstairs one was was stunning but the staircase was a bit worrying so decided on the ground floor suite. The rooms have the names of the monks who used to stay there which was quite quirky! It's decor is very simple and basic but Italy is like that and added to its charm. The outside terraced restaurant had the most breathtaking views and was the best spot in the whole town. The food was delicious and the breakfast varied and high quality. The only thing that was disappointing which is not the hotels fault is that to use the beach, the beaches charge extortionate prices to rent sun beds so that was a real downside-and it was a stone beach. I would skip the beach and wander through the beautiful historic town and churches instead. The rooms were very overpriced for the quality of the furnishings but I guess that's what you get for being by the sea.

Our memories of our stay at this delightfully unique hotel are very positive. The staff was gracious, the room spacious with a comfortable bed and murals on the walls, a good shower, an absolutely beautiful view of the sea and town of Noli from the patio off the room and from the terrace of the restaurant, delicious food, and a feel of being in the midst of history. To get to the hotel, be prepared to find a town parking lot by the Esso Station on the eastern end of town and press the button on the nearby outside glass elevator to let the hotel know you have arrived. A staff member will come to help you with your luggage and take you via the elevator to a funicular that will take you further up to the hotel. To go to the town of Noli from the hotel, you can take the funicular and elevator or you can walk down some charming lanes and wander the old streets. There is also a path you can take to walk from the hotel up to the castle at the top of the hill. We found that not much English was spoken in the town, but sign language and charades worked just fine. We found delicious bread, cheese, and ice cream in the small stores. There are a number of casual restaurants and sidewalk cafes in town, serving delicious Italian food. The hotel, itself, has a Michelin 1 star restaurant.

Very unique, quiet and beautiful setting above Noli. This is a very original type of establishment, within a mediaeval bishops' palace/castle, so there are a few stairs, different levels, parts of frescoes on the walls, grand views and great atmosphere. It is not large, but seems to be. The couple who run the hotel do their most to help in any way, and are humble and charming, along with the rest of the staff. An abundant (and cooked) breakfast includes their home-made bread and jams. Due to the solid walls and conversion, the bathrooms are not large, but spotless and well equipped. The furniture is all 'period' so if you like airport/trendy modern, this is not the place to stay. This is a solid, comfortable and memorable place.
