It's not a pushed up place - a nice terrace with a wonderful view across the sea. As we were staying there (Hotel Palazzo Vescovile) for 4 nights and had every morning breakfast on the same terrace, we could go to a different restaurant in the old city every evening. The reason for our choice was the excellent food and staff. We had coniglio alla Ligure ( rabbit), couldn't be more tender.

We were staying in Noli and felt it would be pleasant to visit the Vescovado with some relatives who were with us at the time. It was a pleasant evening and the plan was to have an "aperitif" and then perhaps have dinner. It took us a fair amount of time to get the lift that provides access to the hotel and restaurant to work and when we were finally able to get to the hotel, we were told in no uncertain and very unfriendly terms that it was "private property" (strange thing to say for a hotel) and we were made to feel very unwelcome. Despite explaining that we were planning to have dinner and were keen to visit the place, we were basically shown the door. We were well dressed, were very polite but to no avail. We were literally shown the door in an unnecessarily rude manner. If we had been thinking of dining at the Vescovado, we will never plan on dining there again.

Found this place through the Michelin guide and tried it as it is starred. We really enjoyed it! A really outstanding view and excellent dishes well served by knowledgable friendly staff. It is not 'über posh' but the whole experience is great. It's a little difficult to find and is accessed from a public car park at the eastern end of Noli up an elevator and on a short Fenicular railway.
Go there, it's worth it. We will be back for sure.

We went to have dinner here two times during our recent stay in Noli.
The restaurant and hotel are owned by a wonderful couple that made us feel like at home.
It has fantastic views and ambience, food was wonderful.
Great for a romantic dinner.

The hospitality here is outstanding. The owners welcomed us as though we were long lost friends and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. We ordered the taster menu of many courses and every single one was a delight - a work of art and a taste sensation. It may not be cheap but the experience is memorable, the setting and the views fantastic, and when the waiter pointed to the precise area of the sea from which much of our dinner had been caught that morning we were just a little impressed...their fish is incredible and their home made gnocchi magnificent.
