“Great War family trip”

Better than expected accommodation, unfairly, negative reviews ref bathroom and room size had worried me but we were all pleasantly surprised. Perfect location for battlefield trip, evening meals were good, although breakfast was perhaps over priced....a good excuse to go and buy extra provisions for the day's picnic!! Clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water, I have known hotels where hot water runs out if more than 6 rooms take a shower, no problem here!
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our small group of four ate at the same time as group of 40 youngsters and we did not feel at all neglected. We will be back, although I may take a travel kettle for tea in the room to keep the de-hydrated driver happy!

Fantastic accommodation and meals exceeded expectations. Large comfortable rooms and the beds allowed us a great nights sleep required on a busy itinerary. Quiet hotel, friendly service and perfect for our select small group tour accommodation requirements for Australians. Pleasant walk to restaurants, mini art and central shopping. We will be back soon. Thank you for such wonderful service.

This a hotel that fits the bill! To visit the battlefields. it is used by the English and French businessmen. it is functional hotel, rooms are clean and not overly large. You don't expect tea and coffee facilities in an average French hotel.
The breakfast is more than adequate but we would not suggest you eat in the restaurant in the evening, food is bland. You can walk into the town in under half an hour if reasonably fit, indulge yourself and then walk it off. The bar is a place to relax with free French newspapers and magazines.
The staff are cheerful and professional.
Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Prices perhaps a bit on the high side for a room with 1914 centenary

Delightful Ibis hotel. All the great things you come to expect from this hotel. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and is was a delight to eat in their restaurant when we arrived from the airport.

Hotel as you would expect lacked some character but this was made up for by the attempt to create some sort of ambiance in the bar area.

Would recommend this hotel as an excellent base for exploring the ara.

the hotel was new and the rooms are good, but the down side at weekends there is very few staff on duty the town is not in walking distant and there is no restaurant at weekends, so you have to get in the car to drive into town to eat.so after a long day visiting the battle fields you can not have a beer or half bottle of wine and a brandy coffee after a meal as you have to drive and when in france do not drink and drive most restaurants close sunday night, but there is a mac donalds near the hotel. we found a realy good marocaines restaurant 47 avenue faidherbe albert tel No0322753556. the food was all fresh and was cooked to order also it is open on sunday night we went twice out of the three nights in albert.as i said albert is great to stay if you are going to somme battle fields

Room Tip: all the same clean and good beds

I took a group of 8 here and the process of booking was simple, the staff being very helpful. On arrival our check in was straight forward, the rooms being clean with television and free wifi. No tea making facilities. We had our evening meal in the hotel and it was disappointing, food was bland and the chicken liver salad raised a few eyebrows! the next night we decided to have a meal out and ate at the Hotel Basilica in the town centre.

If you are looking for a hotel that is easy to find and convenient for visiting the battlefields then tis fits the bill but there is better food available a short walk away in the centre of the town.
