Visited this restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime so we were probably lucky to get a table out by the ocean.

The setting is great, with a view right down the beach.

The menu is simple and varied. The food is average, if I am to be totally honest. The fries that came with the grilled calamari were soggy, so the oil obviously wasn't hot enough. The calamari was ok, but just ok, not exceptional in anyway.

The service was friendly and quick, so they tried.

With no road between the restaurant and seaside, the kids enjoyed walking on the rocks while waiting for the food.

Service a bit slow, but all nine orders arrived as expected.

Food was tasty and the portions generous.
Pizza ok but not living up to their Italian sounding name.
Seafood platter well prepared & tasty except for the mussels; the latter a re-heat of a previously prepared dish?
Calamari steak a highlight.
Kingklip and Rump steak both flavoursome.

I've eaten here a few times, and instead of leaving feeling wowed, I always feel like it could have been just that bit better. Our waitress didn't know what wasn't available on the menu anymore (Kingklip) until after we'd ordered and that really is a pet hate of mine. Please train the waiters to say what has been sold out/is not available today etc. the minute they give out the menus. Please. I found the mains to be a bit on the expensive side, and although the food was alright, it wasn't great. In fact, my Dutch guest wondered out loud if the Sole was actually Sole or not. I guessed from the bones that it was, but who knows? The bathrooms are really substandard and should receive attention. The setting is great and the location has everything going for it, so, just jack it up a little guys! I'd live to give you a 4 or a 5 the next time I go and/or bring overseas guests!

Right on the waters edge this relaxed restaurant delivers good service and tasty food. No exceptional plating just hearty food. We had seafood that was well prepared. Quite a busy social place. Definite recommendation for a lazy weekend meal without frills.
