Stayed here as a group of 25 for a celebration. Andrea, the owner, provided friendly, flexible service at a fair price. For a moderately higher rate, we arranged a dinner with local specialities that was great. Would certainly stay here again if travelling to the Engadin valley.

Reasonably priced accommodation in this expensive part of Switzerland.
The owner, Andrea, was very welcoming and hospitable.
We were given passes which gave us free travel on the local buses, trains, funiculars and cable cars - this saved us hundreds of francs.
We did not eat in the hotel in the evening but they do a 3 course evening meal which was 20 francs per person - very cheap.
Hotel is very close to church whose bells chime very 15 mins !
Good location, only 5 minutes walk to train station.

Travelling with a son with a broken leg, the owner of the hotel could not have been more helpful in picking us, and our luggage, from the train station in Bever following our short email. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was basic and more like a youth hostel than a hotel but it was large, clean and with a powerful shower. It was a good base for our trip on the Glacier Express.

Bever was quiet and deserted when we walked around. There was nowhere to eat, the only restaurant was expensive, service was poor and the atmosphere was characterless. We felt we were imposing on them. If we had thought about it we would have brought a picnic. Breakfast at the hotel was simple and basic but a good start to the day.

Overall, the hotel is an ideal base for families looking for a basic, budget hotel. The fantastic Swiss rail system whisks you around the area easily and efficiently.
