We were in Ramallah to do some filming and found the Best Eastern to be a good base.
If you want luxury you'll need to look elsewhere, but we found our rooms to be clean, comfortable and secure.
We visited in the winter so we probably didn't see the hotel at its best. The pool was empty and one of the restaurants looked like it had been reduced to a storage area. The breakfast was consistently good, although they played the same pan-pipe CD every morning. Not soothing!
The clue's in the name but this is not a Western hotel. If you want a drink with dinner there are plenty of options in Ramallah, all a short taxi ride away from the hotel. The hotel website says it's located on the east side of midtown Ramallah. My perception was that it was located on the eastern tip of Ramallah. It's pretty much the last building on the main road.
I rarely get to choose where I stay for work, but I would be more than happy to stay at the Best Eastern again. They have a team of friendly staff and, crucially in this day and age, free wifi.
