We used Woodland Barn as a base to explore Herefordshire ... and we didn't want to leave! We were provided with everything we needed, even chocolates and wine!! The barn is beautifully converted, comfortable and cosy! The views are spectacular even when the weather has other ideas! We honestly felt that everything had been thought of ... Wifi was available, Sky TV (both great for our teenage daughter) and a fully equipped kitchen. We slept really well in the master bedroom ... always important! The booking procedure was smooth and Zoe accommodated us wanting to stay for an extra night (it was too lovely to leave)! We would return and recommend without hesitation :)

We were impressed with the photos of the property on the website, and on entering the cottage it exceeded our expectations, it definitely has the “Wow” factor. The cottage is equipped and furnished to an excellent standard, includes an induction hob and even has a slow cooker which we made use of. The attention to detail that Zoe & James have achieved is outstanding, including the little things like liquid soap in the bathroom and en-suite, tea, coffee and milk to washing detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine, just like home from home. Our welcome pack of flowers, wine and chocolates was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a relaxing breakfast on the patio with the stunning view to the River Severn. An ideal location for walking in the Forest of Dean especially enjoyed the Sculpture trail, Tintern railway and Abbey as well as Symonds Yat rock with its breath taking views. A return visit to Woodland Barn is a must.

We have visited this property twice ( second time with other family members)since the birth of our second daughter in February this year, so location and facilities in a child friendly environment were key.Woodland Barn meets all of these requirements and some! The owners also provided a brand new travel cot for us . The property boasts spectacular views and there is loads to do in the area and there is a friendly nearby pub 2 doors down if that's your thing! the free welcome pack of wine and chocolates is a lovely touch aswell.We will definitely be back again in the future!
