This B & B is a 15 minute walk from the railway station but there is also a bus service if you're prepared to wait. The particular room we occupied was a decent size with a large flat screen tv. The bathroom was decorated in black slate, which was stylish. However the sink was not very practical, having no plughole as such. The water drained away through a large slat, which could not be blocked. The lighting was good except over the mirror so it was difficult to see to shave. The bed was very comfortable, as was the settee. Wardrobe space was ample for 2 people. You could help yourself to tea and coffee in the kitchen.

Breakfast was Scandinavian style - fruit juice, fruit, cereal, ham, salami, cheese, egg, various types of bread as well as coffee and a choice of teas. There was a nice veranda and back garden and as it was sunny we sat outside for breakfast.

The owner advised us what things to see in Ystad and then lent us bikes so we could ride into town and see them. We found him very helpful and felt he went the extra mile to assist us. The centre is a leisurely 5 minutes by bike.

It was a nice enough B&B, not quite as close to town as advertised but still walk able. The owner could try to be more friendly, it felt more like a professional operations not like a family owned B&B

My husband, my 3-year-old and I spent 2 nights at Our House. The hotel is in a good location.. we had bikes, and it is only 5 minutes by bike or 15 minutes walking to the town center and about 8 minutes by bike to the beach, maybe 20 minutes walking.

We stayed in the room rental (not apartment) area. The first day we stayed in a room on the first floor with a shared bathroom, and it was very nice. The breakfast was just right with perfectly cooked boiled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee/tea/juice, cereal, cheese & meats, and warm bread. We felt so comfortable there that we asked to stay a second night and got moved to a room with it's own bathroom and a couch, also on the first floor. It was lovely! The bathroom had a "spa" ambiance, and the bedroom was roomy and bright. We really loved all the little touches they have added to the decor. There was actually a spa area outside that could be rented with a sauna and hot tub, but we did not get a chance to use it. Outside is a porch with comfortable seating when the weather is nice. There is a big trampoline and balls for the children (or adults!) to use on the lawn.

The owners Annika and Bradley were friendly and welcoming. Marie was wonderful and very attentive to ours needs, and did a fabulous job with the breakfast. They all made us feel comfortable there, and even gave a basket of toys for my son to play with. It was a relaxing stay, and we really felt at home. We would definitely recommend Our House to anyone traveling to the Ystad/Österlen area.

Room Tip: We loved the white room on the first floor with its own bathroom.

We stayed in one of Our House's medium apartments across the road from the main house. The place is very conveniently situated, a 5-minute drive or a leisurely 15-minute walk to the town centre. The apartment was attractively decorated and well equipped (courtesy of IKEA, as is much of our own home); the bed comfortable and the shower-room so arranged that you didn't flood the entire floor, as is so often the case. There was a small terrace overlooking the garden which would have been delightful in warmer weather. I'm not a breakfast eater so can't comment but according to my other half it was generous and tasty with plenty of choice.
Two minuses. Firstly: a hairdryer is available on request but there is only one between all guests. I did email in advance to find out whether I should bring my own but received no reply. So bring your own. Secondly: wiFi is only available very, very sporadically and the connection is wont to fall over the moment you connect.
Recommended over all provided you bring your own hairdryer and don't expect too much from the wiFi.
