Wow this was booked as last minuet couple of days away, we see the offer on another site but before ordering the offer voucher we called the hotel to check availability as we were wanting to bring our dog, what a lovely chat I hand with the owner who said if I book now he will oner the offer price, when I called back the room had gone but still had availability. When we got here the room was available (disability room) downstairs. The room is spacious, patio doors to garden and a seating area outside for my partner to smoke and close for the dog to go in and out when she needs to. The staff are really friendly nothing is to much for them to help you. I think they have the rating ring I think it should be a 5star hotel, the food price is a little steep but you defiantly get what you pay for its like you where in a top restaurant in London.. I could go on great, relaxing last minuet short break we are overwhelmed but everyone and everything thank you for a great stay x

Just come home from a two night stay, clean and tidy room and extremely nice staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere, good food and good sized portions and very reasonably priced drink. A little noisy in the corridors (heavy doors) but overall a very pleasent stay. We has booked using a discount voucher site so exellent value for money.

We stayed for a couple of nights on a Wowcher offer and were really pleased with this charming hotel. We were somewhat concerned to begin with as the hotel is the other side a slightly dicey looking housing estate through which you have to wiggle before finding the country lane that leads to Lordleaze. There was a short cut walk into town though so that wasn't so bad. Or wouldn't have been if Chard itself had been even half worth visiting which I'm afraid it wasn't! This mean't that we dined at the hotel (not our normal thing to do) and were very pleased we did as the food was excellent. Bar staff and waiting staff were all very welcoming and helpful as were the landlords. Our room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable with a great big bed and a really good shower in the modern bathroom. Breakfast was very good and varied with one of the best fruit salads I've seen at such a hotel in a while.
Chard may not be but Lordleaze is well worth a visit.
