More luxury guest rooms and suites, the Hotel Sea palace provides elite amenities in the heart of Union Square. Among the appointments are executive desks and large flat-panel TVs.

The facility also showcases a swimming pool, health club, business center where national headliners perform most nights including Friday. The venue also presents light cuisine, specialty cocktails and many more.

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst on holiday in Bangladesh. The hotel had been recommended by the Bradt guide so we decided to check it out. Before we could start haggling over the price they immediately offered a discount against the 'published rates'.

The gave us the choice of rooms with or without a sea view. We opted for the sea view even though it was more expensive and it wasn't much of a view - we were looking out on the houses of some very poor people who live in the shadow of the hotel. The reason we went for the sea view was to try and avoid the traffic noise on the other side of the hotel. Whether this is worth the extra will depend on your own point of view.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need - plenty of hot water, fresh towels every day, and functioning air con. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. They seem to take security very seriously as there are guards posted on the street, and at the door of the hotel.

Breakfast was included in the price. For 3 of the nights we stayed they provided a good buffet breakfast. This must depend on hotel occupancy as it wasn't available on the last morning, but they just made up what we asked for.

We dined at the hotel on 2 evenings and found the food to be pretty good and very reasonably priced.

There are probably better hotels in Cox's Bazar (with prices to match) but I thought this was a very good choice and would recommend it to all but the most fussy travellers.

Hotel Sea Palace,Simply the best i have found. I stayed there 3 days, and enjoyed a lot. Service,Hospitality,Neat and cleanness,Food quality and behavior all are really nice and enjoyable. Except the rule that the swimming pool is closed after 8pm. I recommend all family oriented people to go there if want to enjoy your holiday in a calm and quiet place like HOTEL SEA PALACE.

the hotel itself is nice.we had a big room with sea view.quite luxurious. the best thing about the hotel is the swimming pool which is secluded and secured.so people with family can really enjoy a dip in the pool specially in the evening when they turn on the lights and give a nice ambiance.a bit far from the beach.takes about 15-20 mins.

A really great place. Luxurious, comfy.............

Been there couple of years back. It was a great experience.
Services were good. The rooms were all clean. Price was reasonable for what they provide.
Food was good too. But most importantly it was very close to the beach which was good.

Would recommend this for those who wants to travel with their family.

Room Tip: Choose the sea view room if you can afford, because the other views aren't so good!

The Sea Palace is one of the new large hotels built on the outskirts of Cox's Bazar. Its size means that it lacks a bit of charm but it has nice sea views, is close to some of the funkiest seaside restaurants in Bangladesh, has all mod cons including a decent sized pool, and has a well stocked craft shop outside selling ethnic Burmese clothing and seaside stuff. It is also only a short rickshaw ride to a Burmese market on the beach.
