This would seem to be a good-quality hotel by Bangladesh standards and the staff are certainly pleasant and helpful. But don't imagine you will be staying in anything like a developed country hotel. The bathroom was dingy and my room was not insect free.
The view from my window was probably the worst I have ever experienced as it was simply the next door building a few feet away.
The porter who showed me to my room and took my baggage up deserved the tip I gave him. On the other hand, the man who seemed to be housekeeping staff for that floor and who appeared after the porter left seemed only interested in also being tipped. Given that all he did was switch on the TV (I already know how to use a remote control) I failed to see what he'd done to warrant a gratuity. He then hung around, making idle chat and it was clear what he was waiting for. He eventually left, disappointed.
The food in the restaurant was good quality and very good value.
A word of warning - if you take the United Airways bus from Khulna to the airport at Jessore (maybe for a flight to Dhaka) be prepared for the journey from hell. The bus was overloaded with passengers and luggage, which was stored inside on the rear seats. The trip took almost two and a half hours. Everyone was cramped and jostled all over the place. I realize that Bangladesh roads are bad, and the driving even worse, but this was ridiculous.
