“Loved it!!”
Reviewed 29 August 2006

I stayed at the Yiannaki for only 3 short days as a part of a tour of the Greek Isles. After spending our first night in Athens, I was a little concerned about moving on to another hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised. I was thrilled to see that we were picked up by Yianni, the owner. The ride was a great opportunity to find out more about the history and culture of the island. I thought this was a very personal touch and it was very much appreciated. The hotel is beautiful and we were given a room with a fantastic view of the gorgeous pool. We had no trouble with our a/c and never felt too hot. As a matter of fact, I was quite cold one night (my own fault for playing with the buttons on the a/c remote!). The pool area was wonderful and was a great place to spend a nice quiet day relaxing. The food at Alexa's was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the roast lamb and the Greek salad. Panos at the restaurant and the woman tending the pool bar were so sweet. The location is perfect and is only about a 10 minute bus ride to town. After returning to the hotel after spending the evening in Mykonos town, it was nice to find Yianni and Panos at Alexa's. They were very accommodating when it came to our late night cravings and their company at our table was always welcome. After touring a few of the islands, many of us agreed that Mykonos was certainly one that deserved a return trip - especially if it means returning to the Yiannaki Hotel.

Well I think that the people in a hotel can make or break your trip...if you allow it. Thankfully I didn't let the allow the staff and owner of Hotel Yainnaki's in Greece ruin my trip (but they tried really hard)... When ariving to the Island don't be fooled by the owner picking you up it's not because he is nice..he's too cheap to pay a driver. He will not help you with your bags so, ladies be prepared. When arriving to the hotel be ready to walk in to a sauna of a room, that has views of what appears to be a graveyard. After allowing the room to cool for 45mins get ready for this...when you leave you must give the front desk your key to ensure your room may not stay cool. Head down to the bar for a drink and the owner will serve himself a drink and sit next to you at the bar while you wait with nothing. Beachfront...hahaha!!! Be prepared to wald a football field before you are able to enjoy the water. If you are single and might have a chance of meeting someone...sorry but they can't come in your room (not at Yainakki's) Oh and if you have family that comes to see you they must wait downstairs also in the hot lobby with no vents. It was an over horrible hotel and I would not recommend it to someone I didn't like. Please beware of HOTEL YAINAKKI'S IN MYKONOS!!!!

We just got back from Mykonos. Our travel agent booked this hotel for us. When we got there they were very un-accomadating. The air-conditioner was broken and their was no service. My sister met us at the hotel to go to the beach. The owner stormed into our room and told us she had to wait for us in the lobby because there policy is "NO VISITORS ALLOWED IN THE ROOM AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON." I do not recommend to stay here. We were not the only ones that felt like this. The lobby was filled with people complaining. While the staff just laughed......pretty terrible.

We spent 7 nights at the Yiannaki Hotel and must compliment Yiannis and Maria for there excellent hospitality that was extended both to my wife and I on our resent stay.
The hotel rooms are of a very high standard for both facilities and cleanliness. We found the hotel restaurant to be of outstanding quality and unbelievable value for money (main courses less than 10 euros!) with a charming restaurant manager.
I have already recommended this hotel to many of my friends and look forward to returning next year.

Just returned from a week in Mykonos, staying at the Yiannaki with 3 friends. This is actually the 4th time I have stayed at the hotel, the last time being in 2003, so this is my first visit since the hotel has been refurbished. Despite the changes, the hotel is as friendly and welcoming as ever and even more comfortable. Yiannis and Maria really looked after us. The biggest improvements are to the bathrooms which are much more luxurious, and to the pool area which has been very tastefully refitted and now has an outside pool bar. The hotel restaurant (Aleka's) is as good as any local taverna as well as being great value. I highly recommed the roast lamb at only 7 euros! The location - Ornos is perfect - you are away from the bustle of the main town, yet also within easy reach by bus, taxi or quad bike (or 25 min walk). Ornos also has its own beach which is worth visiting in its own right. The hotel is also both gay (and straight) friendly.

This hotel is just what the reviews lead you to think. Clean, great service, and friendly people. We stayed 5 nights and wished that we could have stayed longer. Everything was simple wonderful. The rooms were better than most 5 star hotels in the states. They value of this hotel is probably the best we have ever experienced.
We really enjoyed the balconies and the pool area. Anything we needed was handled in a quick friendly manner. You can rely on the reviews that we read before booking here. It's all true. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, go somewhere else. if a relaxing vacation is in your plans, this is it. Book yiannaki and you won't be sorry. This place is better than most services rate it. 4 1/2 to 5 star in our book.

I checked the tripadvisor website to find a nice hotel in Mykonos and Yiannaki hotel matched our requirements.

From the night we arrived we knew that we were in a great hotel with a very nice staff. Maria at the front desk is the best and has a great sense of humour. She helped us arrange the motorbike renting, boat tickets to visit other islands... Yiannis the owner is nice and makes you feel at home. This hotel is pretty close to visiting family with the comfort and profesionalism you can expect from a quality hotel.

The whole place has been renovated. Beds are comfortable, air condition works perfectly (believe me it's not the case in every hotel!) and the bathroom is large and well equipped. AND! everything is clean.

Now the food! Oh well, one the best we've eaten in Mykonos (ex aequo with Caprice Restaurant in Mykonos town) and definitly the cheapest! Try the Moussaka, the grilled vegetables with parmesan cheese...

I'll definitly go back to Yianniki if I come back to Mykonos.
