Stayed here last week in August and first week in September 2012.
These appartments are decorated to a high standard with tiled, modern bathroom suites. They're cleaned and provided with clean linen and towels every day. The air conditioning is included in the price but we hardly used it as the strong winds on this island mean you are never overly hot. They are 40 metres from the beach, with a supermarket opposite. There is a larger supermaket about two minutes walk along the road which is cheaper. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming.
We have been to most Greek Islands and would highly recommend this accommodation.
The resort itself is centred around the beach where you will find restaurants, the bus stop and boats to other parts of the island. Sunbeds were 6 euros each per day. Mykonos town is lovely and is accessible by bus for 1.60 euro each way. The boat to other beaches is 6 euros each for a return fare.
I have read reports stating that it is possible to walk to Mykonos town. This would be very dangerous as there are no pavements and it would take at least 35 minutes, it's a very busy route.
Finally.........the strong winds..... When we arrived we could see the paragliders at the town beach and this was a hint of things to come. I have never known such strong winds on a Greek Island, I found it impossible to lie in the shade on the beach for very long without cooling down considerably. Also, some evenings were quite cool with people wearing jackets and scarfs.

Elena Studios are well located, very friendly, super clean and good value for money! Room thoroughly cleaned and towels/bed linen changed every day, comfortable bed, free air conditioning, two ring cooker but managed to make meals like spaghetti carbonara, maybe could of done with a clothes dryer. Just a couple of minutes to beach, bus stop, restaurants, supermarket, bakers, butchers, fish market and boat taxi. 25 minute walk along coast road to lively, interesting Mykonos town or other direction to 'Shirley Valentine' beach (if you walk a little further you can climb down rocks to a beautiful little beach with crystal clear sea and no sunbeds/umbrellas). Very enjoyable holiday, only downsides are it is expensive and can get very windy!

Room Tip: Recently renovated simple clean accomodation, only 15 rooms so all rooms good.

This was my first trip to Ornos Mykonos as I have been all around the world and stayed at some great places. I really enjoyed my stay at the Elena Studios. Stavros the owner and the made are very nice caring people and will go out of there way to make sure you have a very enjoyable stay. The only thing that would be nice is to have a kettle and a good fish knife. Every time I wantedto have a coffee or tea I had to use a sausepan to boil my water up. The reason for a good fish knife it that I bought some excellent fish from the fresh fishmongers in Ornos that Thomson Holidays do not tell you that there is one there. I found it awkward trying to fillet a fish with a bread knife. I really would off like to have stayed there for two weeks as you could go to the lovely beach or just jump on a bus for only 1.60 euros to Mykonos town. Long Haul traveller David 48 years old.

Room Tip: Choose room 113 even though it costs a little more if your a single traveler but well worth it.

We just got back yesterday from 2 weeks at the Elena Studios. Value for money, it was excellent - cleaned every day, fresh bed linen and towels every day, close to beach, tavernas, supermarket, bus stop for Mykonos town, etc. Nice fully-equipped little kitchen area, very comfortable beds, tv, air conditioning, and very friendly staff.

We stayed for a week at Spring Bank Holiday 2012 and were delighted with the accommodation. Very spacious rooms and everything brand new and very stylish. The maids clean every day and bring fresh towels every day. For Greece even the shower was pretty good complete with a shower curtain ! Air conditioning also worked a treat.

The accommodation doesn't have a reception or pool however the owner hangs around every evening in the office at the front .

Onto the resort Ornos is trying to become an upmarket trendy resort . The beach is covered in sunbeds most with mattresses and parasols and some with 4 poster beds with drapes. They are owned by the beach bars who play some pretty dreadful music ! Eating costs are reasonable but drinks are really really expensive. All staff are really friendly and we didn't get charged all week as we always bought a drink or ate the the bar ( konstantis beach bar)

We booked with Thomson and the rep was really good and informative. However the trip prices are insane at least double to doing it independently. The rep even admitted this. We went on the trip to the island of delos booked our own guide when we went there and saved at least 20 euros each.

Mykonos town ( the port where you go to Delos) is also easily accessible from Ornos town either via the coastal walk or on the local bus. Again it is not that expensive for food but it can be a rip off on drinks especially in Little Venice. it is a fantastic little town really busy with excellent shops bars and great views.

All in all a great holiday.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem excellent .

We booked a last minute deal with Thomson and sayed at this small collection of studios. in Ornos.
Recent refurbishment had been carried out and this was performed very well with a bright airy bedroom/kitchen area, lovely bedding and attractive pictures on the wall and air conditioning , though we didn't need it in late May.. Balcony was a bit small though! Cleaning was done daily and linen change every 2 days.......rather more than was necessary, but very welcome and unexpected. Location could not have been better with a minimarket opposite, and just a 60 metre stroll to the beach, or back towards the village centre. Also well placed if you want to walk into Mykonos town (30 mins), or to the quiet village of Aghios Iaonnis......20 mins, a bit hilly though. Bus stop also close by, and only Euro 1.40 each way, around 10 buses a day to/from Mykonos Town. Highly recommended almost in every way.........could have a little more kitchen equipment.
